Unfortunately, this establishment has steered me away from wanting to ever take another chance on another Microtel. But before I say anything negative, I had better say the positive. The bed was a very comfortable bed and the covers were my style, soft and warm. Ok...now for the bad part. There was no need to change rooms because the whole place was pretty much the same. But it had a funky smell when we first walked in. The drawers were broken down and mostly not working, there was a piece of dried bread and a piece of popcorn in a drawer, other drawers were dirty, and the floor didnt look vacuumed, so we wore our socks. The bathroom looked like they tried to fix things...3 shades of brown, chipped paint on the base trim, caulking was coming off, corners of the trim had gaps in it, and the tub drain was broken. The pool seemed like straight up cold tap water. My family couldn't swim in it because it was so cold. The hot tub was warm at best and was dirty murky water that looked like the swamp thing could come out at any moment. The pool room walls had water damage from ceiling leaks and the door couldnt shut because it was so warped to the point of not being able to slide over the threshold and they didn’t have any towels to dry off with after getting wet. I'm truly not trying to pick on this place but being a general contractor, this all seemed pretty easy to see. To make this long story, short...they could have at least wiped everything down with clean rags.
