Absolutely the worst hotel experience of my life. Staying at Hotel Due Giardini was not just disappointing — it was shocking. What we encountered wasn’t merely a lack of hospitality, but open disrespect, rudeness, unprofessionalism, and insolence. Upon our late arrival, we were informed that our room was not in the building we had booked. Instead, we were handed a key and given vague directions: “Go right, go straight, find the door, take the first floor…” — none of which made any sense. When we asked for proper guidance, the receptionist reluctantly agreed. No apology, no assistance — just indifference. The situation escalated during check-out. We requested to leave our luggage for a few hours, as is standard in most hotels. We were told there would be an extra for luggage leave— something we had never been informed about in advance. When we questioned this unexpected fee, the woman at reception yelled at us, telling us to “shut up” and “get out”. Unbelievable. To make things even more outrageous, she said: “You complain about extra charge, but you’re carrying a Gucci bag.” Since when is it acceptable for hotel staff to judge or comment on guests’ personal belongings? The man who introduced himself as the “manager” didn’t even attempt to communicate in English, insisting on speaking Italian despite our obvious confusion. Zero professionalism, zero courtesy. This was not just poor service — it was hostile, offensive, and completely unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

Stayed for a night and could not fault the staff. Very polite and helpful. The hotel is very dated but spotlessly clean and has everything you need, even a small bar and a lovely garden. We could even leave our luggage until we were ready to leave for our flight. The hotel is around a 30 minute walk to the duomo and about 10 mins from Milane centrale. If you are looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful I would recommend
