The stay (just one night) in this hotel was a nightmare. The front desk workers don’t have basic skill to do their jobs. They even don’t understand how to use hotel computer system’s information to distinguish their guest’s booking source during checking in process. The day I stayed had a very bad snowstorm in Erie, the hotel is not full at all. I requested room upgrade from a King bed room to a 2 bed room as I am entitled to do it with a Marriott Gold member. But Nadia V. kept saying to me that they can’t upgrade me because I booked this room through the 3rd party agent instead of directly from Marriott. It’s a big lies as Stephen who is also a front desk work proved me that I did book my room through the Marriott directly during the check out process. Very clearly, this hotel hired unqualified people to work in the front desk and it definitely are mistakes. The hotel should hire or training more people like Stephen not Nadia V. because her unprofessional attitudes, my stay turns to be a nightmare. This hotel doesn’t have any security personnel. I have been assigned to room# 219. The room #218 has a group of women who keep screaming/laughing/ talking loudly forever so no one can sleep at all because of them. I called hotel’s front desk after 12:00 am and was told that she will talk to them to stop it. but it didn't happen at all. So, I must go down to the front desk at 1:00am and ask the women who promised to call 218 went with me to #218 and talk to them. I understood that the hotel can’t select the guests but at least the hotel should have security to stop those ************ behaviors. I never realized that Marriott’s hotel offered so bad/unsecure environment to the guests. That’s not Marriott hotel I expected at all. I am a Hilton diamond member and Marriott Gold member. I didn’t realize that there is a Homewood suite which is just next to this hotel until I arrived at this hotel. If I knew that this hotel treated me with such wrong attitudes, I shouldn’t have booked this one at the first place. When I made this booking, I trusted the Marriott brand which I have been staying so many times in different cities and enjoyed them. But this hotel really destroyed Marriott reputation to me at all.
