Holiday Inn Express & Suites Millington-Memphis Area

Paid for a suite and it was a long room with a big blank wall. It looked like there used to be furniture there but it was gone.It was so rundown and dirty. The lobby was dirty and there was baby behind the counter in a crib. Rooms need to be updated. The rooms on the site look nothing like the room that we got. It was rundown and worn out. Definitely not worth the money we paid.

About 6 hotels are in the Millington area. The Holiday Inn Express Millington is one of these. As of January, 2024 there are 2,297 Holiday Inn Express locations in the United States. This particular is located about 18 miles north of Memphis, with convenient access to numerous attractions including Graceland, the Memphis Zoo, Beale Street, and the Memphis Motorsports Park. This 4-story hotel is right off the north side of Hwy 51. It has a covered portico at the entrance for a passenger drop-off. There seems to be plenty of parking for the visitors. Check-in was on the left side as you entered. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. The room was a standard hotel room with two beds, a TV, drawers, a small refrigerator, a desk, and a closet. There were plenty of places to charge electronics. The windows had regular and black-out blinds. I had a problem with my TV when I checked in. Calling the front desk yielded no success except a suggestion to fix it myself as they could not send someone and they could not change rooms. I fixed it myself. The card for the TV receiver was backward. I was disappointed that I did not get more support for the identified problem. The hotel seems a little dated from the condition of the TV, wallpaper, and condition of the building. Overall, it is a nice hotel and convenient for the area.

Clean room. Bed was very soft. Lighting limited especially in bath. Nice shower and large soft towels.

We did not like when we had to pull the doors so hard that it became noisy. We could tell the building was either old or shifting. There were never enough towels. The breakfast was subaverage

The manager was very rude on multiple occasions. Pool was dirty. Supposed to be only 4 people per room with no food or drink in pool area. There was at least 15 kids in pool plus the parents with food and drink in pool. They were all together. Left it dirty then closed the next day because of it. On all the doors check out said 12. I am a member so late check out was supposed to be 2. We were checked out at 11. Manager said she didn’t mean to be rude but was very rude indeed. When we stayed here 2 years prior it was much better.

The facility was clean and safe.

Staff was still cleaning room an hour after I arrived. Food was left in the refrigerator and refrigerator was dirty. Women bathroom in lobby and pool area was dirty.

We had a great stay at your hotel. The front desk staff were always present but rarely spoke or even made eye contact unless you were checking in or out. This was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in. Our only disappointment was that we didn’t have a window with a shade that we could open so we felt like we were in a cave (room 211). The window overlooked the roof so the blinds are rolled down and secured. We would rather look at the roof and have sunlight than be in the dark. All in all a very good stay.
