I am not quite sure where to start but I would advise anyone to avoid booking this Guesthouse based on our experience. We arrived and per notice on the door called the number and someone arrived. We were asked if we had any allergies and then given a room., we went to the room and at first it seemed quite nice until you really looked. It was dusty and probably hadn’t been hoovered for a while. The bed was the noisiest bed you ever heard, it creaked to high heaven and if my partner rolled over, I was awake, and this was vice versa. If one of us got up during the night both of us were awake and if you opened the on-suite bathroom door I am sure it woke other Guesthouse users. As well as this if any other guest opened and closed their bedroom door it was heard throughout the B&B. We were exhausted by lack of sleep following our stay. Breakfast was a joke, you were given a seat in the dining room, and no sooner had you taken your seat ordered tea or coffee then your breakfast arrived, no choice was given just a full breakfast, (Lukewarm). We tried to be subtle the following morning and order just what we wanted but we were told oh the breakfast is already prepared just take off what you don’t want. Again, another lukewarm at best breakfast with no napkins or condiments on offer. I’m not so sure the bacon was even introduced to the frying pan. The orange juice was given in the whole carton rather than a jug. There were not enough tables for all the guest so complete strangers ended up sitting at our table too. The member of staff was polite and helpful, but she looked unkempt with her clothes looking like they could do with a good wash as well as her telling us she had been on the drink the previous night. (We all enjoy a night on the drink but not when you have can’t do your job in the morning)

Stayed for 2 nights 23 and 24 June 2022. Decided to complete review now.. my room was a dump, a tip, dirty, dusty and filthy serves well to describe it. The rest you can image ~just look at the pictures the room hadn’t been cleaned for months. Awful experience

A very enjoyable stay at this guest house. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was delicious. The owner gave such a warm welcome and I felt so well looked after during my 2 days there. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I fully recommend this guest house and will definitely be staying there again.

I Had a lovely relaxing stay in my cozy attic room with a comfortable bed. Sherry and Lauren are fantastic hosts and made me feel so welcome and comfortable with it being my first break away on my own , had some lovely chats and they both couldn’t do enough for me , I had 2 tasty breakfasts and a lovely roast chicken dinner and homemade apple crumble on the Sunday , I felt like I had come to stay with family for the weekend rather than in a b&b which was very nice , would definitely recommend and I’m definitely coming back next year , Thanks Jenny

When on business I try and find random hotels other than the usual corporate hotels. I found the place very clean and quiet and good value for money, that’s on other hotel in my must return book. It also nice to see some gorgeous country side

We stayed at this B&B for 2 nights on the first night the fire alarm went off all in the B&B evacuated but as there's no owner on site we rang the number left on the desk only to be met by a answer machine!!! Eventually got through and the owner arrived didn't check the property just mentioned it goes off alot its very sensitive and switched the alarm off, pretty disturbing to be honest. The B&B serves its purpose altho not exactly clean ie stains on carpets and mould in shower, damp around windowsill, kettle leaks etc but bed was clean and comfortable. Breakfast wasn't to our liking, tinned mushrooms ewww!. Parking is a bit of a task . We wouldn't stay here again.

Nice b&b. Decent size rooms, clean, well decorated. Ours even had tv, fridge and microwave. The breakfast was a decent full English, with cereal, juice, coffee etc as you fancied. Location was OK, Millom is a bit of a one horse town, but the beach are of nearby Haverig is pretty and you're in striking distance of Lake Windemere. Overall a decent place, especially for the money.
