Homewood Suites By Hilton Milwaukee Downtown

My husband and I travel to Milwaukee each year for his birthday. We chose this hotel for its location in proximity to our dinner reservation and the attractions we had planned. There were several negative reviews for this hotel regarding check in, cleanliness, and parking, I'd like to share my feedback to ensure travelers do not deter from staying at this hotel for those reasons. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted by a friendly front desk staff and were able to check in promptly at 4pm. We were able to conveniently park in their side lot while we brought our belongings up to our room. The room was extremely spacious and had beautiful upgrades and convenient amenities such as a full kitchen. The high ceilings really made this room unique. Everything in the room was very clean. There is a parking garage directly across from the hotel which was easy to access and only cost $22.00 a night to park. When staying in downtown MKE it is to be expected that you will pay for parking, and knowing our car was in a covered garage was peace of mind. We choose to Uber to our destinations, so we didn't have to find parking multiple times, and we never had to wait more than a few minutes for our ride to arrive. My only disappointment was there was no happy hour. I was under the impression there was a cocktail hour offered, but it didn't take away from our stay, as there were several liquor stores within walking distance to grab a drink for the room while we got ready. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful with options, fresh, hot, and the egg bites were delicious. The last thing I will add which is huge for me, they have complimentary water, hot water for tea, and coffee in the lobby at all times. I hate forgetting to bring a water bottle for the middle of the night when staying at a hotel, so I loved this feature. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again in the future! Don't let the negative reviews sway your decision. This was a beautiful, newly converted hotel that you should absolutely check out next time you are staying in the area.

What a beautiful building. We love the old made new. The service was wonderful and we enjoyed the food provided at the restaurant in the morning. We were walking distance from several fabulous restaurants as well. The beds were so very comfortable. We will stay again.

Our room was perfect! The corner suite was spacious and stylish. Loved the snacks that were convenient and tasty after a pickle ball match across the street at the public courts. The staff was pleasant and attentive during our stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Loved the room and Location. My only complaint would be that the breakfast in the morning was a mess. No plates, no food out. Overall would stay there again and hope it was just a fluke about the breakfast sitch.

Our experience was excellent! Great location being right by the river walk, the Third Ward district, and the lakefront. The vibes are a striking combination of historic architecture and modern renovation. And the service was spectacular, too. We'll be coming back next time we're in Milwaukee!

We had a wonderful stay here for 2 nights. Location was perfect for us and walkable to restaurants/food halls, also just a few blocks away from the lakefront and museums. It was nice bonus that breakfast was included.

After rental car was towed, we walked a long way from the restaurant where we’d been enjoying our vacation to this hotel with nothing but the shirts on our back. We got toothbrushes and a mini toothpaste from the front desk and the afternoon clerk was very kind. The room we were given was on the 4th floor by the elevator. The hotel was gorgeous as was the room but the road noise (right next to a freeway) was very loud and we could hear the family on the next room word for word and they were not yelling. Water in the shower barely got warm and not much pressure. I probably would’ve given the hotel a better rating if I’d had my luggage and got to enjoy the spa/pool but I didn’t.
