Lovely hotel. Just right for a trip to Milwaukee

The building is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. My family and myself mostly stay here when we visit Milwaukee, which is maybe 5 or 6 times each year. There are parking garages within 1 block, great places to eat breakfast at a walking distance, the breakfast in the hotel is great as well, the Public Market is a few blocks away...the location is perfect for us. The rooms are large...some are huge and ceilings are high. We have no complaints.

Our daughter got married at the Grain Exchange across the street from the hotel, so we had a block of rooms for our guests, as well as a bridal suite and groomsmen area to prepare for the wedding. Tory was wonderful to work with for planning all of our wedding weekend needs. Not only is the hotel gorgeous - I can't wait to see the pre-wedding pictures - the entire staff went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly. We had wonderful hotel rooms, and the bridal suite was perfect for the hair and makeup. The employees stopped by the suite to make sure we had everything we needed, and the food and drink we ordered for the day was delicious. The groomsmen had a separate area, and the employees made sure they were taken care of as well. The bartenders were great with our before and after the ceremony gatherings in the bar area. All in all, it was a perfect weekend at a beautiful hotel and we got endless compliments from all of the wedding guests who stayed there.

Had to make an unexpected trip due to family emergency. This amazing hotel went above and beyond to meet my needs and took great care of me during my stay. The young lady was caring and compassionate due to the loss of my sister and the restaurant crew was the same. Words can no express how grateful I am to this hotel staff. Amazing place to stay.

We had multiple issues with this property. First, one of our rooms wasn't a king at first, so they swapped to another room that smelled like cigarette smoke, so eventually the second room got in to a king room that didn't smell like smoke on the 3rd try. Then in that same room, there were multiple dirty towels with stains on them. Then in the second room, there was very loud club music late at night, so I called the front desk to ask about it and was met with hostility, even though I was really just asking if they knew when the music would end and not asking for anything from the property.

Our experience here was amazing. We booked last minute after cancelling a stay in a four star hotel that was not clean. Hilton Garden Inn was such a relief. The building has a fascinating history and many beautiful original features. The rooms have high ceilings and large windows and are decorated and maintained well. All staff we encountered were friendly and seemed to really care for guests and this lovely property. This will be our go-to hotel in downtown Milwaukee. We couldn’t be more pleased.
