Site states pool is open from 8am-10pm daily. Binder in room states same information. Person at desk for check-in confirms pool is open from 8am to 10pm. Hours listed in oool area state open 8am-10pm. 9:45pm, a very rude worker comes in yelling “pool is closed. It is 9:45, so get out now. You can leave from those doors” and points to one of the exit doors. She continues to very rudely tell this on repeat. Collected kids out of pool well at the same time questioning how the she said the pool closed 15 minutes before everything we have read and been told by other employees. Mind you we were gathering our things to leave immediately. Rather than addressing my question, she agin very rudely yelled get out as the pool closed at 9:45 (it was 9:46 and we were moving quickly to pack up). Then she just kept yelling for us to get out. I truly can not tolerate staff that choose to shut things down before the posted times (the pool had a number of people still in it at 9:45 as everyone believed it closed at 10) because they just decide it is ok to do that. Then to not even start by being polite while making the announcement but instead be very rude as she announced it was just not acceptable. As someone who worked a few customer service positions and is currently an RN (where people very often seem to believe we are in customer service) I could NEVER imagine being so nasty to customers or shutting things down 15 minutes before it was actually meant to end. Could you imagine a nurse telling you 15 minutes before her shift ends “I am sorry but I am done at 7 so I can’t help you”? Shutting stuff down early just because you feel like it is no better. If you are in customer service you stand by assigned times and when you I get act with your PAYING customers, you do so in a professional and politely. I couldn’t imagine being so nasty to anyone especially when I am being paid to interact with people. I have always loved BestWestern for their service but this stay has truly made me rethink ever staying at this particular hotel or ever frequenting this chain again. People in customer service should take pride in their work and treat customers with professionalism and not be cutting corners. This was a stay at the BestWestern Milwaukee Airport on Saturday, April 20th, 2024. Do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone who values being treated as a human being.
