This hot spring resort is a beautiful facility located on large, gorgeous grounds, less than two hours from Tokyo station. The Tanigawa mountain range mid-November offered a wonderful backdrop to our suite of three rooms including our private outdoor bath. We spent two days walking the grounds, enjoying the wonderful cuisine, taking numerous dips in our bath as well as experiencing dips in the the two larger communal baths. The service was impeccable, the refrigerator refilled regularly, and late night snacks delivered to our room both evenings. The facility is large but there are only about 16 suites so it feels very quiet and tranquil. Whether you are visiting Japan for the first time or are a frequent visitor to onsen resorts, you should consider staying at Bettei Senjuan. We think it is special.

The bath was quite lukewarm with Koho no Yu ３０ C, but the other open-air baths were at a suitable temperature and were very relaxing with the sound of the river flow and the clean air in nature. The open-air bath is definitely the best in the world. At the time of check-out １０, there was a live broadcast of the marathon on TV, and when I was watching it with my family, an employee knocked. If it is the hot spring in the collective bathroom, it is recommended to go after dinner, because the room is just next to the collective bathroom, so I heard it very clearly. We used it on a tour to OZE. From the hotel to OZE to the OZE to the OZE to the hotel microbus I was able to go in time and was very convenient. Awesome hotel! Although some places look old, they are very clean and tidy, so they are not affected. Dinner is set but it's different every day, some days are amazing. Breakfast was buffet but basically nothing changed. The hot springs are very good, especially the outdoor hot springs. Snow falling on the body under the stars feels special. The hotel staff is the most hardworking I've ever seen, and the same person dials the front desk, the restaurant and so on. There is a young man named Pu who speaks some Chinese in South Korea who is very friendly and tries to meet the various needs of guests. The only thing that was not very satisfactory was the attitude of a typical Japanese male who was rather perfunctory. We wanted to change the dinner time one day and he refused. Later, I asked the young man named Park, he said yes, and then called and confirmed with the restaurant to help us improve our time. All in all a hotel worth visiting again.

There was a coffee service (tea, cold water) in the lobby, and I used it three times while sitting on a comfortable sofa. The room was 8 tatami mats, long and not large, but comfortable. Two keys and two yukatas. There is no open-air bath in the bath. The inner hot water was not a net door or a wind, so this hot time was steamy and hot. The brewery was made of kawafugu (catfish), cherry blossoms, silver light (high-class nijimas that can only be tasted in Gunma), and cherry blossom rice was made of cherry blossoms, and the local chicken, pig, and cow were made of sukiyaki of the rice, and it was unique and delicious. I usually eat rice as I pass, but it is great that it is just a amount in my stomach even though the number of items is large. I stayed here in April 2022 on the occasion of the expansion of Kenminwari. As the name of the inn suggests, the sound of the murmuring of the river never ceases. The hot springs are colorless and transparent, glittering and slippery. It is said that there are plenty of hot spring sources, and the spouts of all baths are drinkable. There is a large communal bath for men and women in the main building and a separate mixed bathing open-air bath, which is not connected to the bath in the main building. The hot water is completely transparent, so the hurdle for mixed bathing is high. However, there are separate dressing rooms for men and women, and bath clothes are available at the shop. Dinner is a kaiseki meal with lean beef steak grilled on a stone slab as the main dish. Mr. Nakai is a foreigner, but he does his best to explain the dishes. I bow my head like a hard worker in a foreign land. Inari sushi is prepared in the room for a late-night snack, but this is a grown-up taste mixed with wasabi stems. For breakfast, if you go at the exact time of your reservation, the dashimaki* will still be warm. There was a great attention to detail. There are many cherry blossoms planted in the garden of this inn, but this time it was a really elegant timing when the cherry blossoms in full bloom were blown by the wind and turned into a cherry blossom storm.
