東京方面からの特急踊り子号の終点である伊豆急下田駅から、石廊崎方面のバスに乗り約25分「休暇村」バス停下車すぐのところにある、弓ヶ浜海岸を望むビーチリゾートである。 チェックインは15時からだが、手続きはその前からでも可能で、必要に応じて荷物をフロントに預けてもらうこともできる。 17時ころまでロビーにてウェルカムドリンクがあり、夕食は17時からと19時からの2部制で、平日にもかかわらず多くの宿泊客で混雑していた。 夕食、朝食ともビュッフェ形式で料理の種類は豊富で特に下田名物のサザエのつぼ焼き、金目鯛の煮つけと握り寿司は絶品だった。 温泉は大浴場と露天風呂があり、いずれも浴槽がゆったりとしていて温度も熱すぎず、ゆっくりと疲れをいやすことができる。 宿泊部屋は10畳の和室で、夕食の時間に合わせてスタッフが布団を敷きにきてくれる（またはあらかじめフロントに自分で布団を敷くと申告してもよい）。 ベランダもあり洗濯物を干すこともできるが、場所がら虫の侵入があるため窓を開放しないようにとの注意書きがある。 休暇村はどこへ行ってもスタッフのていねいな気遣いがあり、この南伊豆はもちろん、また違うところの休暇村もぜひ利用してみたい。

海が近いということでこちらの施設を利用しました。 休暇村は何回か利用したことがありますが南伊豆は初めてでした。 ビュッフェでは金目鯛のお刺身やさざえのつぼ焼きなど南伊豆らしい食材に舌鼓。 品数も多くて満足できました。 利用した客室は風呂なしでしたが大浴場を利用できたので不満はありません。 スタッフの方がガイドするウォーキングのイベントも楽しかったです。 すばらしい絶景が楽しめる南伊豆。虜になりそうです。

今年はコロナ禍で予約にも余裕があり念願のこちらに泊まる事が出来ました！部屋も大きめで快適、食事は美味しいものばかり！（ローストビーフの横に添えてある豆のムースみたいのは美味しくなかったけど）誕生日という事で玄関前で写真を撮って戴きパネル風に仕上げもしてくました！まぁ天気は小雨も混じる曇天で景観は残念でしたけど。。 あと一つは少し温泉の温度が低かったかな。 足湯は前のグループがいると順番で待つことにはなります。

値段の割に広い部屋で、ゆったりしています。部屋のあちこちにコンセントがあるので探すのに苦労しません。USBのコンセントも枕元に二つあります。スマフォだけなら十分ですね。夕食も朝食もブッフェです。特別料理を頼むこともできますが、ブッフェで十分です。白ごはんが美味しいです。もしディナーにマグロの兜煮が出ていたら、ぜひ試してみてください。正体がわからないので、手を出す客が少ないですが、美味しいです。魚臭さもありません。滅多にお目にかかれるものではないので、ぜひ試して見て。

弓ヶ浜目の前のいい立地です。バス停も目の前で車でなくても安心です。プールも大きいので夏にまた訪れたいホテルです。
