Tanegashima Iwasaki Hotel

It was a great location.

You can see the "Elephant Drinking Water" from your room. It was in the guidebook and I had listed it as a candidate for a place I wanted to go to, but I didn't even leave the hotel and it was right on the beach right in front of the hotel. I didn't expect it to be this close without wasting time visiting. Surfers were enjoying surfing in the sea in front of us, but on this day the waves were small and they seemed to be having a hard time surfing. The sunrise I could see from the window was dyed in various shades of pink, making me feel like I was in a fairytale world.

It is a mecca for surfing. From early morning until evening, someone is enjoying surfing. The waves coming from the open sea seem to give you a good chance of surfing. From May to July, it seems to be the point where sea turtles come ashore in the middle of the night to spawn, and while I was staying there in the morning, I saw a mysterious pattern carved on the beach, and when I went nearby to check it out, I found a sea turtle. The pattern depicts the turtle's fins moving back and forth in a straight line from the point where the turtle landed, and there is a large hole in what appears to be the birthing area, and it appears that the turtle gave birth there. In order to return to the sea after giving birth, she walked around the hole and made a large semicircle from the landing place, leaving a trail behind. This hotel stands right in front of such a mysterious coast. At night, if there are no clouds, you can enjoy a real starry sky. It was a great location. The food at the restaurant is delicious, made with locally sourced ingredients from Kagoshima, and I think this is a valuable hotel where you can experience things you wouldn't normally experience.

There are no restaurants nearby, and if you don't have a car, you have no choice but to use the hotel restaurant, which I did once. The restaurant itself has the atmosphere of a family restaurant. As for the price, it's a resort price. The food is normal, but the price seems to be twice as much as in Kagoshima city.
