Fairfield by Marriott Kyoto Minamiyamashiro

The room was spacious and clean.

We were warmly welcomed even though we arrived late at night. I had a very good time during my stay, thanks to the very pleasant service of the front desk staff, cleaning staff, and hotel staff.

Very good service, very new and clean

I stayed at a new concept hotel for Marriott Hotels. I was looking for a hotel to stay the night before going to see the Shosoin exhibition at the museum in the neighboring city of Nara the next day, and I heard that a new hotel that offers Marriott services at a low price had opened. I stayed there right away. The hospitality of the staff is Marriott-style, but their flexibility without being too formal is wonderful. The facilities in the room are also new, and instead of a bathtub, there is a rain shower booth separate from the toilet. I had a comfortable sleep in a large, fluffy bed. There is no restaurant for breakfast, but there is a roadside station called Minamiyamashiromura on the neighboring premises, where I had a "tea porridge set meal." It seems that more and more will be opened in Nikko, Gifu, Hokkaido, and other places, so I would like to stay there and plan a trip to explore the surrounding areas.

The Fairfield by Marriott Hotel is a very stylish and comfortable space! It's convenient because it's adjacent to a roadside station. In particular, since this time in Kyoto Minami Yamashiro Village, a tea-producing region, the sweets like matcha soft serve and roasted green tea pudding, as well as the breakfast, lunch and morning tea porridge set meals made with locally grown vegetables were absolutely delicious! The bed was a little on the higher side and very soft, but... Falling out of bed for the second time in my life was painful because of the difference in height (lol). I asked for bed rails and put them on the morning after my consecutive stay. The nearest station is Tsukigase Station on the JR Kansai Main Line! The station is unmanned, located on a small hill, and the train that runs is a one-car, one-man train, and the scenery running through the mountains was soothing.

We also had a problem with the accommodation conditions. All the staff were very kind, taking care not to change the schedule of the guests. It was a hotel that reminded me of a good trip even though I had troubles. I'm glad.

It was very clean. Although the facilities are minimal, it has a luxurious feel.
