I've stayed at this Days Inn bafore while working in the area, very clean and convenient, right at the entrance of Fort Wolters.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and I did check for bedbugs, finding no evidence. The desk clerk was kind enough to place the families with kids in town for a sports tournament on the first floor and put other guests on the third, so we had a peaceful stay. The hotel also accommodated our service dogs without any hiccups, and had a very large front lawn, which helped with toileting large dogs. The only complaints I have are that the bathroom had a light bulb out, which was never replaced. However, as dim as the lighting was, I doubt replacing the bulb would have made the room bright enough to shave or apply makeup.

The location was good for easy access to the fossil park, the reason for our trip and a variety of eating establishments. The breakfast choices we VERY limited and no protein was offered; only hot item was waffles which you made yourself.
No one was ever at the front desk, you had to ring a bell and wait for a desk clerk to arrive, not enough towels for 2 adults to shower, clump of hair on bathroom floor.

Mitch is a great manager & I always stay here when I have work in the area. This time it was just for a night & everything was perfect. No complaints & will stay again.

After multiple stays at this property, the last stay was a less than pleasant with previous stays. There was no longer a coffee maker in room, & the heater was not providing warm airflow. At 90 degrees the air was blowing cool. With external temps dropping down to teens, warmer air was needed.
