This is a cosy place with a few maintenance jobs on hold. The breakfast is excellent and the ambience is satisfactory. It's close to sites in Miraflores - walking distance to Larco Mar. The lift was out of order at the time of visit. Traffic noise is a bit annoying.

There are lots of places to stay in Lima, especially in Miraflores district. I prefer a nice simple hotel with a local feel and I found it at Casa San Martin. I stayed a total of 5 nights, some with my family, some for work. The service was very good (only a little English was spoken by the staff and I have rudimentary but terrible Spanish and we figured out everything - just those interactions alone were worth the stay!) The breakfasts were delicious and they were very accommodating for an early morning departure one of the days. I've stayed other more fancy places nearby which are fine, for me, Casa San Martin was much more enjoyable. They have a lovely decor, a place to store bags, and did laundry with a very quick turnaround. My only complaint, the wifi was a bit slow and could be improved, that's not essential to me so I'm giving them 5-stars. All in all a great place to stay.
