What a fantastic place. We walked all over Porto city centre during our 6 day stay and agreed that Miragaia House was in the best location we could have imagined. The room was simply and beautifully decorated. It had a small kitchenette and fridge (perfect for storing supplies of excellent local cheese, ham and port!). Although by the riverfront road which was busy during the day, it was quiet at night and there was also very effective double glazing to ensure this. Ultra-comfy bed too. Breakfast was fabulous, with an array of yoghurt, fruits, rolls, pastries, ham, salami, cheese, and eggs cooked to order. Marta and Zuly and their colleague were super-helpful and friendly. We now wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in Porto!

The rooms are larger than typical European rooms and very comfortable. The location is great, right next to the river. Some things to know: the shower is EXTREMELY slippery, I don’t recommend for older guests or anyone balance challenged. There is no concierge. We were disappointed because there was a coffee maker in our room and the pods were never refilled. Average place to stay.

Great stay. Comfortable, clean, spacious room, well equipped, and great access to the sights of the City. Secure, easy access and a wonderful breakfast. This is a nice, quiet place to stay, close to the river and the Old Customs House opposite. Highly recommended.

Good location away from the historic city center of Porto but 4 minutes on foot. Ideal. Below Baixa which you reach after around 300/400 steps… comfortable, spacious rooms with kitchenette. Hearty breakfast, correct. Little service, no reception, good for autonomy but needs improvement for advice
