Malgré la météo pluvieuse, nous avons passé un excellent week-end car l'hotel est un véritable havre de paix et de verdure en pleine ville:les petits déjeuners dans la verrière dans le jardin est un "must".
emplacement IDEAL pour aller jusqu'au centre historique.

We went for a walk in the Casa Camélia garden, and the views were nice. We arrived in winter, late at night. We found that the window of the Buganvília bedroom was poorly maintained and closed incorrectly. This allowed noise and draft to come into the room. The bedroom was uncomfortable as things were in the wrong place. For instance, the TV was on the right-hand side of the bed, which meant viewing it from the bed was awkward. For the off-season, the price was very high. 4-star hotels in Porto included breakfast for less than what we paid at Casa Camélia. We stayed only one night to try it out and planned to extend our stay. However, we were glad that we only booked for one night. I have noticed that the owner of Casa Camélia responds to negative reviews by blaming his customers. I hope he will take my comments on board and spare the blame.

J’ai été très déçue par la taille de la chambre, bien trop petite par rapport aux photos de leur site. Nous nous sommes battus pendant 4 nuits avec une housse de matelas qui ne tenait pas au matelas ! A chaque retour dans la chambre ayant été nettoyée il y avait de longs cheveux noirs dans la salle de bain, pas acceptable. Et puis le plus pénible a été le bruit, car notre chambre se trouvait à côté de la réception (Bouginvilia) donc le bruit le matin était épouvantable. L’hôtel se trouve à côté d’une école, et les chambres donnent sur la cours de récréation, si vous séjournez le week-end pas de problème mais si c’est la semaine comme nous…. Il n’y a pas de lobby, donc en cas de pluie, à moins d’avoir une suite avec un canapé, vous devez lire ou boire votre café dans votre lit. Le personnel au check-in a été très aimable et nous a donné de nombreux conseils de restaurants, nous avons bcp apprécié.

This place is pretty bad. *********** site does not have description that indicates - this place does not have air conditioning. In 80 F it was impossible to stay in this location. Owner was not friendly at all and said that he will charge entire amount, although we have refused to stay there. I would not recommend this hotel at all. Greedy, arrogant manager. Absolutely no human skills.

This property was great in mostly all aspects! We had a perfect view from the “Magnolia” room. Staff was wonderful and the area at first looked to be in a “sketchy” area but it turns out it’s not. The only thing I will say is that our room did not have an air conditioner unfortunately. They did have fans on each floor which helped but an AC is a must during the hot days

Casa Camelia is one of the most unique and charming places i have ever stayed. Upon walking through the door, you not only encounter exceptional service but enter an oasis all to its own, with stunning views of Porto and the Douro River. Each room has its special charms and original artwork, and breakfast in the greenhouse is superb. The fountain in the garden also gives the whole place a dreamy, old world ambience
In future visits to Porto, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else stay anywhere else.

Wir verbrachten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt im Hotel Casa Camelia in Porto. Die Zimmer und die Badezimmer sind neu, sehr grosszügig und äusserst geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles ist sehr sauber. Das Frühstück im Aussenpavillon ausgezeichnet. Das schöne Haus ist umgeben von einem wunderbaren Garten und bietet einen fantastischen Blick auf die Stadt und den Douro. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, alles kann bequem zu Fuss erreicht werden und trotzdem ist es sehr ruhig. Sehr empfehlenswert.
