Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

We loved staying here; there was a great atmosphere and the location was excellent everything on our itinerary was relatively close by. The staff were very friendly, and we didn't have any issues with the rooms; we even asked for extra towels, and the housekeeper kindly brought us more. I would definitely stay here again.

Very quiet and great location. Hotel over charged resort fee when booking through a third party. Trip.com did a great job of compensating us back.

Check-in was ridiculous. Somehow payment wasn't processed at check-in. Made trip back to desk in another building to resubmit payment. Once back at room door key didn't work. Had to go back to the desk in other building to get key reauthorized. This took the first two hours of vacation time and missed dinner with friends. Could not get anyone on the phone at front desk at any time. Building Ice maker didn't work. Staff said go to other building for ice. Worst vacation stay in last 20 years of travel.

Great location with an amazing view!

Construction going on. Changing windows, drilling holes all day, a/c doesn't work. All windows in room covered in blue plastic. Men are literally outside the windows working on scaffolding stuff. This is in the bathroom too. Whole wall behind shower is under construction and has blue plastic. I seriously doubt that completely gives you privacy. They should shut down those rooms and not try and put guests here. Maybe even couple rooms over bc of noise. I did complain and got moved, packed everything, to another building.

Rachael is one of the nicest hospitality workers that we have encountered on our trip. She is very knowledgeable and friendly and hard working. She reflects really well on the Sandestin Resort. We will definitely come ride bikes at the Bike Shop if we come back.

Outdated, distant customer service, and definitely two star accomidations on the bayside. The "private" beach is overcrowded bc they rent it to the public. The community property is nice and the tram appears to run as scheduled. They need to allow rented golfcarts. I don't think we will stay here again though.
