Place is great, however won’t book through here again as the price was an extra $214 upon arrival due to resort fees and such that weren’t mentioned, so won’t be booking through here anymore.

The place is nice enough, and would give 4 stars if i was just coming for a vaction. But since I was here for business, the purpose of the poor rating is if you have any special requests in terms of paying with multiple cards or having a split bill for the sake of a business reimbursement vs personal payment responsibility, you may as well talk to a wall. The welcome center staff will definitely have no clue what you are talking about and then they get upset, very quickly. They really are not that patient. I also feel that even though i was speaking perfect english it was like the comprehension was non existent. I would hear one desk person try to repeat the problem to their neighborhoring desk partner and get the details wrong. Maybe it was just a bad day, but it was extremely difficult to get anything accomplished.

We stayed at Beachside II in 4352 on 25th floor. Pros: check in went smoothly plenty of help at desk at 9pm, stunning views, nice clean pool, restrooms by pool nice, sufficient parking, gated community, nice kitchen, great king bed, sleeper sofa was acceptable for a child. Cons: no housekeeping, given wrong and confusing codes for doors and gates, washing machine broken which would’ve not mattered had housekeeping brought clean towels and vice versa, door to enter building was broken and wouldn’t open often, elevator would get stuck on floors and doors not open, the ENTIRE (1200 condo) resorts beach access is in front of this condo do the beach was INSANELY packed, very loud music was allowed on beach, wristbands were not enforced, no info was given for check out and lines were very long, late check out was offered at check in then denied day before check out.

Took the family to SanDestin for an out of school trip. Great resort… beaches are beautiful. Actually had a few meetings so ended up going to the beach late afternoon Thursday… rented umbrella and chairs from Brock E., class act made sure we had all we needed and recommended a few places to treat my wife to a nice meal. Overall great experience. Will be back soon.

I hated it, I don't recommend it. the room where we stayed was very old, everything very far away looks like a poorly maintained hotel. I thought the hotel was nice but when we got there we saw a lot of weird people Crazy I thought I threw my money in the trash! It was a terrible experience I don't usually stay in places like this

We booked our annual family vacation last summer and were placed in a very outdated unit at Pilot House. It was very dirty and the dryer did not work. They came to and said they fixed it but it did not work the entire time. We had no dry towels and had to go buy more clothes to get through the vacation. Sandestin Resorts would only give 1 night free this summer to make up for the previous issues. The problem is the total was $1250 for the 2 nights (which was a 2 BR not on the beach). You are at their mercy if things go wrong.

Had a great experience and will return. This is not a all-inclusive type of place. This is where you make your own plans, set up your own schedule, use it as a base of exploration and/or relaxation. We love to walk and this place is perfect. Every day we spent time walking, exploring, retailing, sitting on the beach, golfing, and eating at all types of restaurants. We stayed at The Pilot House right by Baytown Wharf (the retail area). Great places to sit and have a beer while looking at the water and listening to live music. They had a wine festival on the weekend and live music in the square on Wednesday. Most of the restaurants had some kind of live entertainment going on every day. Love the piers and boardwalks. If you like to fish there is plenty of space and opportunity. We also ventured by car to the Destin and Panama City area to check it out. Lots of different options on places to stay depending on what you want to spend. Booked it directly with Sandestin Beach and Golf Resort just so we would had customer support if needed. PS - the beaches in this area are stunning!
