We booked two rooms about 45 days in advance for 3 nights from March 25-28, 2024. My son and wife who are both physicians wanted to take a badly needed vacation. At the same time they wanted to have some time with their 4 year old son. So they asked us to go with them. We booked through ********** and booked two rooms with balcony and beach view (over $500 per room per night). Then we called the hotel directly and requested that we needed two rooms side by side or at least on the same floor so the boy can come and go between the rooms. We were told that that would not be a problem. The receptionist at that time put a note to that effect. But when we arrived, the front desk person said, they could not accommodate us on the same floor. No particular reason was given. So we asked if we could get another room anywhere on the same floor. Even if it is a downgrade, we would take it. At this point, one lady said, she would be able to do that. At that moment, someone who looked like a senior staff in khaki jacket and suit came and talked to them. All of a sudden all the front desk disappeared into the back. About five minutes later, a new lady (Mira Carrera) came up and said, there is no way they can accomodate us. I asked her what her name was, then immediately gave me a business card so rudely. She said we booked our hotels through a third party and they cannot answer questions about any information they had given us. We asked them if there is any indication of our request when we booked. She said, yes there is a request, but that is only a request, but our business comes first, so we accomodate our guests based on our business need. We were upset, but the little boy was the one most disappointed. Finally, they agreed to move my son and family to our floor the next day, but gave them only a few minutes to move. The boy got sick the next day, and was sleeping. So the parents decided not to move. To be short, to this location, profit and business come first before promise and family needs. Don't go there expecting anything other than an expensive resort style business where even a bottle of water costs three times. I have been a Hilton Honors member for over a decade (member number 618879004) and travel all over the world. I have never had such a bad and rude customer service anywhere in the world. To add to that, the breakfast at their restuarant is unappetizing and boring, the same egg and bacon and sausage breakfast everyday. Sorry for the long review, but it was needed for others to get an idea of what you are getting.
