Giragala Village Hotel

We stayed here 4 nights, out of season. It is a good hotel with a good staff! We have had 3 times lunch and once dinner. Well prepared and nicely served. Parrot Rock just in front of the terrace gives it something extras.

First Impressions as you walk in are not great, but the room was brand new, very spacious, AC was fantastic, short walk to busy restaurants on the beach. We loved it here and for the price it was a great stay

We spent 3 1/2 weeks at the Giragala Village in Mirissa and loved it. One of our favourite things in the hotel was the great garden (see picture) - perfect for families with young kids. We enjoyed a lot of our time in the hammocks with great cocktails and be sure to try out their Mango Lassi! The beach is also directly in front of the property, as well as the Parrot Rock. The service is good and the staff extremely friendly. Especially the manager was very accommodating and helped us plan our trips. They also know which trips are worthwile and which are tourist traps, so make sure to get their opinion before spending a lot of money. Despite the rooms not being the most modern, you have the essentials and it provides great value for money. Furthermore, you can pick your level of accommodation (sea view, family suite, etc.). We had a basic room with sea view on the upper floor. If you wish for more space, try to book one of the bungalows. The breakfast is basic but good, you get fresh fruits and juices, eggs, jam and pancakes. The kitchen looks very clean and the staff will try to accommodate your every wish. Highly recommendable is to request the head chef to make some rice and curry for you - otherwise, you can have a very western-styled menu. We had a lovely stay here - despite the weather not being on our side. Definitly going to stay here in the future again!
