Villa Océane

Amazing view of the ocean from our room - the property sits right in front of the ocean. From the verandah in front of your room, you can watch the waves the whole day, there is no need to go to any of the beaches in Mirissa. Breakfast was delicious too, and they even cooked the fish we caught (for a fee). However, don't expect the same creature comforts of an international 4 or 5 star hotel despite being priced higher. The furniture is also rather dated and the room was not very clean. Overall a decent and memorable experience.

Visited 7 cities and all kinds of hotels, however, this was our highlight of our whole trip. We were lucky enough to meet the owner Nadun, who I can only describe as one of the most humble people I've met whilst out here. Nadune helped us with restaurant recommendations and places to visit whilst out there. You can tell he genuinely cares about his boutique hotel, the staff and his guests. The staff treat you like family! They even threw me a surprise birthday afternoon tea with balloons and cake! after the massage they organised. (Which was on the hotel balcony with the ocean as the background, cheapest price and best massage we found in sri lanka!) You can tell each staff member genuinely cares for you. The hotel has only 5 rooms so you know you have the personal touch when you come in. I can't emphasise how amazing our visit was waking up to ocean views, this is a hidden gem and worth the visit! I will never forget the amazing memories I made there! Exactly what Marissa is about. I'd recommend contacting the hotel directly and paying cash as they offer a discount. Thank you Oceane Villa for a wonderful visit! We will be back!

All in all it was awesome. Very good food and service and the view and rooms are unique. We could see turtles in front of us every day.

We have just finished a 3 night stay at Villa Oceane and did not want to leave! The staff make this place feel like home from the moment you arrive - they simply cannot do enough for you. The homely environment they have created is something very special, right on the water, with the waves sending you to sleep soundly every night! We cannot rate Villa Oceane highly enough and a huge thank you to the staff for our final few days in Sri Lanka so special!

What an amazing place to stay! There are only a handful of rooms and the service is fantastic! I recommend getting the half board and they will serve you your meals on your balcony outside your room, overlooking the beautiful view! How special! And the food was fantastic too! This is the perfect place if you want a quiet break away. You can laze on loungers on the lawn and probably have the pool to yourself. The beach is not good for swimming but you can get a tuktuk to the better part of the beach to swim if you prefer. We loved this place and would totally recommend it! Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip.

A really memorable stay for me. The villa is just so peaceful and well maintained. Staff are courteous and they take care of you really well. The food is great and the rooms are amazing. The bathrooms also very clean. (Had a leaking bidet in my bathroom though which should be fixed soon) The view from the room and the closeness to the sea is something you cannot imagine, it’s like your living on the sea. We moved to a big hotel post staying at this place and just did not enjoy the hotel as much, because we were missing staying at this villa as much! Book this villa for the maximum days instead of moving around hotels, all the nearby places(Weligama, Mirissa, Ahangama, Hikkaduwa) you can travel and come back within a day considering the proximity. Met the owner too, who is a gem of a person. Hope to come back soon
