Very clean and spacious room with everything required. Nice balcony with table and chairs. We had a presidential suite that had a beautiful layout and all furniture was in good repair. We used the large indoor pool and mini golf which were great. The water park was not open during our stay but looked appropriate for younger children. Staff were very friendly and check-in and check-out were smooth. Took the train from nearby Aurora into Chicago for one day, which was inexpensive and very convenient.

Sadly, this property is declining. We’ve stayed here several times and always enjoyed it, but this last trip was a bit disappointing. Upon check-in we were told the on-property grill was closed indefinitely. There is no food on resort. The horses are gone and the old stable area is filled with junk. It looks terrible. The water park was also closed too. We stayed in the Presidential Suite, so the most expensive rooms on property. The furniture in the rooms was beat up and dirty, kitchen supplies were in need of replacing, missing screens on windows, bathroom doors won’t lock. The indoor pool was packed with people not staying at the property, not kidding, at least 100 people. I really like this property and I hope they can turn things around, it’s a nice getaway away from the busy Chicago suburbs.

No dining. Nowhere to even get water. Water park wasn’t functional. I felt unsafe and definitely not worth the money I paid. Need a refund.

Travel with spouse and kids
The rooms was good I had no complaints, they are slightly out dated but I think that’s the look they are going for they like to keep the history in the property. The water park was nice, it is a great place for toddlers and grade school kids. It is a nice quiet get away and the staff was nice polite and very helpful.

Beautiful scenery but they do not have a restaurant on site. Be prepared to drive 20-30minutes to Ottawa to eat. If you are okay with cooking, it might be a better option. They have beautiful kitchens with good-quality pots and utensils. Self-catering options might work better if you just want to stay there and enjoy the beautiful area. They do not show pictures of the old-looking units. Their pictures are deceiving. They have a swimming pool and a huge waterpark. I did not go there so I can't comment on those. I went for a walk around the whole area and they have tonnes of picnic and BBQ areas, RV parking areas, and A river that flows through the resort. It is breathtaking. The place is peaceful. No noise. Very refreshing! The President's Lakeside units are newer and beautiful. (what you see in pictures). I don't know why I wasn't given those for my stay. I enjoyed the jacuzzi in my room tho.

Wack and waste of money , came for the waterpark and it was boring and expensive didnt even have a pool💀 and they charge per day , it should be included with your stay in my opinion considering its boring and doesnt offer a lot , also stayed in a villa and the bathrooms were dirty couldn't even enjoy the jacuzzi because the hot water doesn't last and the tub wasn't as clean🤢 will not be coming back ✋
