Room was quite small and overall a bit overpriced for the level of quality and amenities. The balcony was nice with great views but don't walk on it without shoes- I got 2 splinters in the first minute walking on it in bare feet. Needs sanding and refinishing! The ladies at the front desk were excellent and very helpful with our needs.

Ein so schön geplanter Heiliger Abend ist ziemlich missglückt. Und dies liegt leider in der Verantwortung des Post-Hotels, in dem wir Hotelgäste waren, aber auch Gäste zum "Heilig-Abend-Menü". Diverse Gänge begannen jeweils viel zu spät. Der erste Gang kam so ziemlich genau nach einer Stunde. Und der Hauptgang gar erst drei Stunden nach Eintreffen. Zwischendurch haben fast alle wie wir betroffenen Gäste sehr reichlich Wein konsumiert. Andere haben sich etwas zum Lesen geholt. Noch andere wurden regelrecht aufsässig. Zu Recht. Was die Empörung noch ansteigen ließ, war, dass Gäste à la carte - meist keine Hotelgäste, sondern von extern - zwar immer noch langsam, aber immer noch bevorzugt und schneller abgefertigt wurden. Die Bedienungskräfte trugen keine Verantwortung. Es war das Management im Hintergrund. "Überbucht" nennt man so etwas. Weihnachtsprogramm etc. gab es nicht, von ganz leiser Weihnachtsmusik abgesehen, die aber kaum hörbar war. Wir waren als langjährige Mittenwald-Urlauber maßlos enttäuscht, zumal wir wissen, dass es zu anderen Zeiten in diesem Hotel viel besser klappt.

Nice property that is easy to find and centrally located. It’s easy walk to/from the transit station. The room felt clean and modern, and was quiet for sleeping. The view from the balcony was nice! Breakfast was to be included but upon checking out and picking up my bagged breakfast, as I had an early train prior to breakfast opening, I was charged a few euros.

Mittenwald is amazing town, and the post is a lovely hotel. Staff were all very friendly, we don’t speak a lick of German but they still made it work. The room was large, especially for European standards, and comfortable. Also came with two free beers from the local brewery every day. There is no air con but with the window open even in summer it was pleasant. Downside of the window open is the bell tower (but even that is kinda nice), big upside is the smells of the bakery across the street in the morning. Simply amazing. Breakfast was good but don’t go down too late or it’s a bit limited.

The staff were excellent - they went above and beyond to help us during our stay. Everything was wonderful - the room, the food, the amenities, location, staff. We will definitely return to Mittenwald and the Post Hotel.

The hotel lobby is cool and our room was nice and clean. The bed was uncomfortable. Only one pillow per bed and that one pillow was not comfortable. Dinner was bad. The bread and dessert were ok. I at a piece of bread and the dessert. My friends ate some of their main dish but theirs' were also bad. Breakfast was ok but not as good as the other breakfasts we had on our trekking tour,

Gemütliches etwas älteres Hotel im Zentrum. Am Wellness-Bereich wird gearbeitet. Auch hier hat sich Corona negativ bemerkbar gemacht. Die ebenfalls von anderen Reisenden fehlenden Duschmöglichkeiten in der Wanne (kein Vorhang) werden sicherlich zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt in Angriff genommen. Hervorzuheben ist das Bio-Restaurant. Sehr schmackhafte regionale Gerichte, guter Service. Das ausgezeichnete Brot dort hat sich leider nicht beim Frühstücksbuffet wiedergefunden. Hier war der Service tagesabhängig. Ein Tag sehr gut (alles wurde aufgefüllt), ein Tag überfordertes Personal. Auf jeden Fall möchten wir wiederkommen.
