This is a hotel with history and old-style style. The advantage is that the mother-in-law at the counter is very hospitable and smart. She uses an English translator to introduce the hotel and communicate with us. This is a traditional old-style Japanese hot spring hotel. There is a parking space for self-driving tours. , and it is convenient to go to nearby attractions in Dabu Jie. The breakfast is exquisite and delicious. The disadvantage is that the hotel is old, of course, older and does not have independent toilets and baths. It depends on what experience the guests want.

Conveniently located near the interchange, with Aeon, Starbucks, and Joyful nearby. The hotel is new and clean, both the front desk and the room. I was surprised at the size of the LCD TV. I was able to connect to YouTube and log in with my Hulu account, and the free Wi-Fi in the building was stress-free, fast, and very comfortable. The large public bath on the first floor was also clean, spacious, and comfortable. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

This is the fourth time I have stayed at the route inn in Shikoku. I have moved on the highway, so it is about 5 minutes from the nearest Zentsuji interchange. I am impressed by the outstanding location. I was able to see the beautiful sunset from the room and relaxed. I wanted to have dinner at the restaurant, but it was open for a short time, so I was looking forward to the next time. I enjoyed the large communal bath from the beginning to the end in a chartered state. Is this hot spring an artificial hot spring? My body warms up very much. I was happy that the beer after the bath was delicious. The bed was hard and comfortable, so I overslept in the morning. Kagawa Prefecture is called Udon Prefecture, so noodles were prepared at the breakfast venue. Udon seems to use noodles ordered from a local noodle factory, so it is recommended for its authentic taste. Next time, I have to go to the next yakiniku restaurant.

As a pleasure of corona, I am hobbying around Shikoku business hotels. This time I was taken care of by this hotel facing JR Marugame Ekimae shopping street. About access, when you go to Navi Street by private car, you are guided to the north street of the hotel and instructed to go to the arcade shopping street by car! This is impossible, so I turned U and returned and arrived at the parking lot on the hotel site in the wild can. Check in smoothly like a kind front desk and go to the upper floor room. From my room, I could see the Seto Inland Sea and Seto Ohashi bridge, and it was the best view of the super hotel I have stayed in. Perhaps, but can you see Marugame Jo castle from the other room? The hot springs by men and women were able to relax with good quality of springs. Because of the corona cherry blossoms, I was reluctant to eat out and became a convenience store lunch, but there was a behavior of udon noodles as a night meal. Thank you. I had a choice of udon noodles at breakfast buffet, so I received it without any trouble. I also had curry, so I will try curry udon next time!

Outstanding
GGuest UserThe room was large and well appointed. You sleep on futons on the floor. There is also a bath and a toilet, which is unusual for onsen. There is an internal onsen bath on the 3rd floor but what makes this place unusual is that there is an outdoor bath up the hill where you take a mini funicular to reach the location. We had a Kaiseke dinner in the hotel where they feature local ingredients like tofu, potato and fish. To be honest, some of the dishes are an acquired taste but they were exquisitely presented and dinner staff were good. The wagyu beef was especially tasty. Staff are friendly and most can converse in English, which is a plus. The young female owner also has a good voice and sang a lovely song during dinner. The organized a short 20 minute tour after dinner to the vine bridge nearby though it was too dark to see much and the bridge was closed. But it was interesting riding the old school bus. Wifi is unfortunately weak and the Ipad was not able to log in at all. Wifi did not work for my Iphone in the dining room and only worked in the lobby and the bedroom. There is a souvenir store in the lobby area where you can buy local produce like snacks, apparel and ice cream.

DDream804026It is an inn that cannot be booked easily, but it was empty by chance, so I booked and stayed for one night. It is an inn with soba shop in the secret of nothing. The staff are very friendly and hospitality is high in a calm atmosphere inn. The room was very large because I chose two cherry blossom baths and pottery baths in the room, and I enjoyed two baths while looking at the magnificent view from the bath. What should be more characteristic is cooking. The meal is a meal in the dining room, but all of them are partitioned in a private room, and there is a Irori in each private room, and you can behave local dishes. The staff at the meal were also local, and I was very satisfied with the history and meals of the soya, and I was very satisfied with the fun and fun. It was the best luxury two days. It is a hot spring inn that I want to visit again.

MMirceaExcellenf facilities, from the big western japanese room to the onsen near the river. The room was very comfortable and quiet, its windows opened to a beautiful view of the rivers and the orange bridge. Check-in was a little slow and the breakfast consisted of many small dishes none of which we liked very much (it looked good though). Overall a very comfortable base to ecplore Iya if you have your own car/ motorcycle.

MmemypassportandiI was worried about getting around the Iya Valley in December without a car, but everything was so easy when I stayed here. I took a bus in from Ōboke Station directly to the ryokan. It was a five minute walk to the main vine bridge. And I was able to take buses to the scarecrow village and to the Iya Onsen (for a bit of pampering). The location was fabulous, but the stay was nice too. The room was big, with traditional tatami mats, a futon, and even a yukata. The communal bath was big and nice. And the host was very friendly. I'd definitely stay again! ありがとうございます😊

We stayed for 2 nights at Hotel Iyaonsen, and were impressed by the level of service, the food offerings, the condition of the room and especially the Onsen (natural hot springs) quality down in the valley (more on that in a moment.) We were already expecting it to be remotely situated with incredible valley/mountain views, and on that (and all other) fronts, our hopes and expectations were more than met. As other reviewers have already noted, the drive to Hotel Iyaonsen - while not exactly a harrowing experience - is one that requires alertness... the road is barely wide enough for one vehicle, and if you spot a car approaching from the opposite direction, one of the drivers will have to back up to an area where there's sufficient width in the road for both cars to slide past one another. It's also very twisty - so much so, that it's really not practical to be barreling down the mountain pass in any case. Thankfully, there are mirrors placed at the corners of each sharp turn so that drivers are able to see oncoming traffic ahead of time. In my mind, this added to the charm of being somewhere so remote, even if it's a bit of a hassle to get there. We stayed in a room called ”Tamayura” (Room #505, to be exact), which is the top room at the property. It's a corner room located on the top floor, and has an open-air outdoor Onsen bath to boot. Measuring 47m², it pales in comparison to highest category rooms at other ryokans we've stayed at, but the layout made it feel more spacious than its measurements would suggest. Tamayura had a living room, a smaller area where you can enjoy the Valley view, and a separate sleeping area.... none of them were segregated by walls, which added to the airy feel but might bother some guests accustomed to having distinctly separate living/sleeping areas. While it's Japanese in design and decor, it was more modern than traditional. The room had an earthly tone and allowed an abundance of natural light to enter, making it seem fresh and new. The Onsen and shower were located on the deck, and exposed to the elements. Now, I am used to having an open-air Onsen bath (in fact, in most cases I prefer it), but also having to shower outside (before getting into the Onsen) could be painful if it was in the dead of winter. The other drawback has to do with the in-room Onsen itself - it's not of the free-flowing variety; you have to fill it up from scratch each time you bathe. While it probably takes no more than 20 minutes for the bath to fill up, you might spend a bit more time regulating the temperature (by turning either the cold or hot water tap) until it's just right for you. Thankfully, this is made up by the awesome Onsen down in the valley. There is a cable car that shuttles (paying) guests to and from the bottom of the Valley, where there are separate men/women communal Onsen baths. There are also baths that you can rent privately (at extra cost.) All of them were amazing - the hot springs were soft, supple, slippery

CCHIDEJIOYAJI0724Overall, because the person in charge is absent, only half-way correspondence can be done in any correspondence. The front desk of check-in is absent and calls by bell. I booked an annex, but I took over the elevator 2 times and arrived in the room. On the way, the corridor is abnormally moldy. Decent cleaning and maintenance are not possible. The room seemed to be clean at first glance, but the tile carpet on the floor of the room was moldy. There is no air cleaner. The annex is a poor content that the wifi is not connected. I went to the public bath, but it was a feeling that the guests were able to use the hot water facilities of the foreign guests, and it was not a public bath in the hotel. Cosmetics were closed in the room and in the public bath. There is no place to relax after bathing. You can imagine public bath. The automatic entrance door to the public bath is broken, but it seems that it is not willing to repair. Only the quality of the spring is great, so it is really a pity. Dinner is also a party dish like amateur dish. Ayu sashimi is only 2 cut. Only white rice was delicious in a way to cook with individual Kama. Breakfast is also poor content, which doesn't seem to be a hotel. There is no person in charge of the waiter here, and only the trainee who cannot even replenish even if the cup is lost is placed. Even when checking out, the front desk is absent. You have to call it by bell. About, there is no hospitality spirit, cleaning and maintenance. It is better to specialize in day bathing.
