My girlfriend and I stayed for one night in the Tree House Room. Upon arrival we noticed that there was very limited parking so we parked our car along the dirt road next to the resort. We both had a great time there and were warmly greeted by staff. The price is steep. Beautiful sunsets.

Stayed in a treehouse and it is a must!! Everyone was lovely, the property well kept, and food delicious. Only thing is, there is no uber here so rent a car or have a taxi on hand. Hotel does offer airport transportation!

Mizata has potential but is lacking in several key areas. The view is beautiful and the bungalows are spacious. We came with kids and were told that they could not swim in the oceanfront pool. The other option was a small pool where workers were hammering and making noise all around or a pool across the parking lot with no chairs and a dumpster view. The food in the restaurant was decent and although you get a free breakfast, you are only entitled to one menu option. If you have kids who don’t eat a typical el salvadorean breakfast you will need to pay ($10- $12) per entree. The music in the restaurant is deafening loud and is on all day and night. The yoga Shala is gorgeous, but classes may not be available if a retreat is occurring. The water went out multiple times per day, which is unsettling when you are dining at a restaurant with no running water. The workers are very kind and this place has potential, but they need to decide if they want a zen, calm scene or the wild party pool scene. It simply doesn’t work to be two totally different things at once.

I really enjoy our stay there. I like the food and the facilities. Just to be aware, if you bring little ones there, the music in the main restaurant was a bit distasteful. They play bad bunny, cardi b on and a lot of reggaeton. Like on repeat to the point that it becomes a bit awkward due to the amazing views. So I would recommend to talk to management and ask if they can change the music to be a bit more settleable for breakfast lunch or dinner. After hours is fine.

Instagram-worthy but HORRIBLE service. My partner and I came here for the weekend to scope out the area ahead of our destination wedding in El Salvador next month. We wanted to find a spot for our wedding guests, who are mostly American and have not been to El Salvador, to enjoy the beach before/after the wedding. We did not find the joyous and welcoming experience you can find anywhere else in the country here at NAWI and will not be recommending it to our friends and family. The service was horrible and as guests we felt basically felt invisible to the hotel staff: - We asked for a waiter by the relaxing pool area and the front desk staff told us one would come. After 30 minutes, no one came. - We went over to the louder, more upbeat area of the resort to receive service. There, we were denied Piña Coladas, despite the fact that a large group of ~15 guests were served Piña Coladas later that night. We were denied sitting on the beds by the beach, as the staff told us they were reserved for guests staying at the hotel and spending more than $100 (we stayed at the hotel and spent much more than that during our stay). We asked for towels by the pool, as it got pretty cold at night, and the staff told us they would check but again, never followed up. During other interactions, my partner was just plain ignored by the staff. It's unclear if the staff are overworked, undertrained, or just plain rude and incompetent, but do not expect to have decent service during your stay here. There are plenty of other hotels in El Salvador with beautiful views, nice waves, nice amenities, and quality service. The exception were the waiters Luis and Saul. They were incredibly nice and accommodating, and if you stay there, we hope you get to meet them and interact with them. They checked in on us to make sure we were doing OK when they noticed we were not in the best of moods.

Excellent hotel and excellent service from all their staff. We stayed for 1 night and it was exactly what we were looking for, a ver quiet, peaceful place to relax and recharge. Great sunset and the beach is outstanding to spend the evening or just talking a quick walk

Beautiful setting on the beach! 85° ocean temperature year-round. December was the perfect weather. My son served, my daughter, and I are expert writers and the wrangler took us on an hour, long horseback ride along the beach, and along the area where the locals live, next to pastures… It was beautiful. The food was amazing. We had some specific dietary restrictions and they were super accommodating. The food was excellent. I must’ve had the fried stepper at least five times, we went on the volcano hike which was a little longer than I would prefer and getting to the top. There wasn’t much to see other than the sulfur lake down in the volcano crater. It’s about an eight hour round-trip, including driving. But the waterfall hike was exceptional. We did some cliff, jumping into the waterfall pools, and although it was very steep in areas, the guides were always there to make sure you were safe. Definitely would recommend a walking stick! I went with my two adult children in their 20s. We were there four full days. For a very unique and different experience in a Third World country, with nice, not luxury, but comfortable sleeping mattresses (which is crucial!), I highly recommend this for a very unique experience.
