Let me start by saying that the Hoodoo is not cheap. We mostly avoided the wallet pain that others have described by using points - albeit a lot of them. We just accepted that that was the way it is. Moab in May is not a secret and the town and hotel were saturated with tour groups and others like us who were trying to beat super-peak season. (Fortunately the Arches visitor management program mostly keeps things sane in the park.). We convinced ourselves we were getting a good deal since the Hoodoo was only a few more points than the Hampton and the Homewood although that logic is a bit questionable. All that said, we had a terrific stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. We loved the pool area and also the outdoor patio at the restaurant which were great places to spend some down time. We also really enjoyed the breakfast. It was fresh and cooked to order and even little things like the wheat toast were, we thought, remarkably good. It was also reasonable (although not completely defrayed by the Diamond f&b credit). We also liked that the Hoodoo was off the main drag and thus a little quieter than other spots (I can’t believe I’m saying this about Moab but times have changed.) So all good for us - a great vacation at the Hoodoo!

We sat in darkness till she explained to us how to fix the lights in the room - took her a half hour to answer the phone

I feel I have to dock 1 star only because the room really needed a good dusting. There was a succulent display in the bathroom that was covered with dust. Other than that the hotel was great. Very large, luxurious bathroom. Comfortable bed. Probably the most comfortable bed of our CO trip. The location was good if you'd rather be a little off the main drag and away from the traffic - which I like. No free breakfast, but I guess I can live with that. I would recommend this hotel.

Wonderful, very clean hotel with spacious rooms, scenic views, friendly staff, comfortable beds…I could go on and on! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here in Moab. The hotel is conveniently located to the downtown and we walked to the Jailhouse Cafe for our breakfasts each day. The shops stay open until 9 so plenty to do after a long day in the parks.

Exceptional hotel stay in Moab UT. Great location within 5 miles of Arches National Park and 1 block from downtown Moab, yet quiet and peaceful. Stunning rooms overlooking the red rocks, destination pool and friendly staff. Highly recommend.
