Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel

Stayed 1 night pre cruise right after Christmas. The check in was pleasant, very friendly. Hotel was very clean and still decorated for Christmas. The room was laid out nicely. Hotel was walkable to the cruise port and a lot of restaurants. They do have a shuttle to port Has onsite small store with drinks and snacks. Great price to stay before a cruise that included parking for the week. A lot of cruisers stay here, so you can get to know them.

Clean rooms and friendly staff.. Check in was a little crazy had to wait 2 hours for our room. But overall good stay

This place is STUNNING, and it was the QUIETEST room with the BEST pillows. I’ll 100% be back for my stays in Mobile

Clean and comfortable room. The elevators get backed up during Mardi Gras so plan accordingly!

Great location, right next to train station, museums and restaurants. Nice outdoor hot tub and pool.

Very noisy area, train and ship horn and noise, we could not sleep at the night we slept there! Not recommend for a longer trips.

I actually did not know about the free breakfast but, dinner at Fathoms was excellent! Every one that we had contact with was very friendly, accomodating and provided excellent service.

We stayed here a few weeks ago for a wedding and there were some nice things that we experienced, but the hotel overall was a letdown. First up, the good: the room was clean, our room had a nice view, and the location was great; it's within walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars and it's easy to get on and off the highway. The service at check in and check out was also very good. The so so: The beds were hard, but not altogether uncomfortable. The shower pressure was also just okay and it would have been a lot nicer if the pressure was better, but it's not a deal breaker for a trip. Now the bad: the service at breakfast and at the hotel bar was downright atrocious and remarkably slow for a fairly quiet weekend. It took us almost 30 minutes to get our drinks after we ordered them at the bar and it took almost 45 minutes to get breakfast on a Sunday morning, which is unacceptable. The service at the wedding reception was also very poor and disorganized as if the staff weren't used to serving people in large groups. The food at the wedding reception was very hit or miss as some people really enjoyed their food while others (including myself) had dry and hard salmon, which was unpalatable. This is unfortunately not a place that we'd frequent again and we'd look elsewhere if staying in downtown Mobile again.
