Ocean Crest Resort

First time there. Wonderful place! We will be back!!

Super relaxing and nice property. Only downside is not a lot of dining options other than the one restaurant on the property, which is delicious, but expensive. The restaurant doesn’t offer breakfast so had to drive either to a small cafe 5 min away or 30 minutes to Ocean Shores.

From the moment we checked in, the staff worked to make our stay enjoyable. Lisa at the front desk was very pleasant and made sure our room was to our liking. Ryan, the bartender, was delightful and very knowledgeable about wine and cocktails. Our room was very convenient and pleasant. The bed and bedding made me want to stay in bed longer. Our room had huge windows which made watching the ocean waves an experience. It was our 40th wedding anniversary and I can't think of a place more perfect to celebrate.

Hotel is old so if brand new is your thing you will probably not like it. Things creek and furniture is old. But, it is very clean with great views of the ocean. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of water pressure in the shower. The restaurant looked really nice with a great menu although we had already eaten before we got here. It is in the middle of nowhere so if cozy, clean, private is what your looking for then this place is great!

Great location and the updated room with ocean view was nice! We really enjoyed the pool as well. Things to improve in the room: coffee machine (worked awful) and shower. Things to improve in the hotel overall: If not offering breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant, it would have been nice to have better amenities in the room to prepare it. Also, the hotel has a nice common space with a fireplace that wasn’t being used; it would have been great to be able to enjoy it considering that we went in winter.

I had an issue with their booking system and ended up with a booking of incorrect dates. I was unaware of this until AFTER the dates booked when I received a 'respond to our survey' email. I then attempted to contact them via email and never got a response. I spoke with Lisa today and asked if they could provide flexibility in applying the deposit paid to the dates I want to stay and the answer was NO. I understand having a cancellation policy, but this wasn't me 'ghosting' them on the booking and they are unwilling to work with you.

Our stay was great. The updated room with view was perfect.

We booked this resort after reading positive online reviews. This is a classic case of "don’t judge a book by its cover." Upon arrival, we were a little concerned by the external appearance, but the staff was nice and we took a breath and forged ahead. We got our room keys - real keys, not plastic cards - and headed to the room. Though we’d seen internal pics and expected it to be nice, we were surprisingly happy with the remodeled space. All of the rooms in our building have evidently been remodeled and they’re very nice, bright and accommodating. They all have great views of the ocean and it’s about a 5 minute walk or so down stairs at the resort. Dinner at the restaurant was outstanding. I told the chef that the Scallops w/Coconut Curry topped with Asian slaw was probably the best scallops I’ve ever had. I pray they’re never taken off the menu because I’ll make the drive back again just for that dish! Everything wasn’t perfect (is it ever?)…the bad: 1. The Kourig machine in our room was temperamental and barely worked. You’d have to try about 6-7 times for every cup of coffee to brew. 2. This is a me thing, but each Queen bed had only 3 pillows and I would’ve liked more. 3. Minor handyman fixes needed, like the bathroom door handle was a little "jiggly." It worked, but it’s still a thing. The resort would benefit from having someone pass thru all the rooms and touch-up these types of things. All-in-all, will be back (probably repeatedly). Very happy!

We enjoyed our time there very much. The property could use an update the couch was worn and uncomfortable. The bed was very cozy and comfortable.
