Motel 6 Mojave, CA

Very good price for a clean and relatively new room, plus they have a laundry room for a hiker like me

It is okay. Room was cheap, a lot of things needed fixing. Towels uncomfortably thin. Wi-Fi didn’t work. Beds we’re okay. If you need a place to crash in Mojave and this is the cheapest option, it will work :)

Great price, as others have stated the train is loud and on our nite it came through every hour-no fault of hotel! The room we had was good, sink was leaking and the heater would spit out something before coming on. If those were fixed it would be a really great room for just needing a place to stay. The beds were comfortable and the hotel overall was quiet!

Good hotel

Didn't have anything booked ahead of time, and needed a motel to break up a long journey. I love a cheap Motel, so we just stopped here at random. It was dark already, and the guy in reception was friendly enough. Our room was way at the back in the second block. Room was a bit old and tired, and the neighbours a bit creepy! Only 2 tiny towels in the bathroom, no shampoo etc. We went out to eat, and when we came back I went to reception to ask for more towels - It was a different guy and firstly, he wouldn't even unlock the door, and would only speak to me through the glass, and then he didn't want to give me any! Said 2 towels was enough for 2 people! I didn't realise there was towel rationing at the Motel 6! I pleaded that we needed an extra one each for our hair, and he finally relented. And then the bloody water wasn't even hot! Just lukewarm, argh! Wish I'd picked the Best Western next door.

First, found a dead BUG on the bed spread immediately upon entry. And chucked it off as "at least it's dead." Then went to get food, Came back and found a LIVE BUG crawling down the drawer of the center table between the beds. Then another LIVE BUG on the floor. Then ANOTHER on the other table where my small bag was. No way was I staying there. Went right to the office but was told that because I was already checked in over 10 minutes, their policy doesn't allow refunds. I politely asked them to waive that policy due to outstanding conditions: BUGS, lots of them. The clerk called higher manager who approved only 50% refund. I persisted for a full refund unsuccessfully. They could have done much better and given me a full refund. They offered another room but my confidence was not in that hotel. Why didn't they give me that "bugless" room first? It is the worst place in the world to stay. BUGS and then TIGHTWAD SERVICE not to give full refund. Another thing is the motel is right next to the train tracks entering town and they sound the big ol' train honk horn terrifically as they enter the town. The walls don't muffle the sound.

Beds uncomfortable

There was 3 people arguing for a long while in area next to pool area where I was. Service was awesome. Unfortunately, some tenants are disrespectful. I will stay here again definitely!!

Round toilet seat on oval toilet. New mattress with the plastic still on it under sheet made crinkling noises every time you moved, plus it made it hot, and uncomfortable to sleep on. Invest in bedbug protection, not factory plastic.
