This was a second stay for us at this wonderful hotel. We had a great time last year, and were eager to return. What can I say? Probably even better second time around! The highest praise of all must go to the staff here, all of whom are very friendly but also work so hard to ensure you have a great time, and nothing is too much trouble for them all, no exceptions! We had great weather, and the grounds are just so peaceful if you want to relax by the pool during the day. You need to be aware there is no daytime bar or catering facilities, just a basic honesty bar - and you also really do need a car, to reach it or visit Granada for example. Breakfast is so tasty, and varies each day - but lots of fresh dishes, fruit, bread, cakes etc! We ate in the restaurant all four evenings, and we opted for either fish or vegetarian choices and the food was honestly amazing, the chef is fantastic. The fellow guests all seem of similar mind, and it’s great to stay amongst very varied nationalities which it seems to attract. We love this place and will certainly return at our soonest opportunity! Thanks Almunia!

Wir suchten eine ländliche Unterkunft für eine Nacht südlich von Granada. Es war schön, aber wir würden nicht wiederkommen. Ganz einfach deshalb, weil das Hotel nicht unser Lifestyle ist. Wir vergeben ein „sehr gut“ in Anbetracht der allgemeinen objektiven Leistung, weniger aus eigener subjektiver Überzeugung. Das Hotel ist über eine schmale Bergstraße zu erreichen. Diese gehört „zum Programm“ (verständlich), da die wunderbare Lage und Abgeschiedenheit sonst dahin wären. Der Empfang ist sehr herzlich und mit vielen Erläuterungen. Das Zimmer ist gut, ich würde mir allerdings keine gelesenen Bücher anderer Gäste im Wandregal wünschen. Am Pool ist es ruhig und das Panorama unbeschreiblich schön! Zum Abendessen wird für Hotelgäste ein Menü serviert, die Abfolge wird angesagt. Der Service ist aufmerksam und tauscht das Schälchen roter Beete (nicht unser Favorit) gegen Käse aus. Es folgen Suppe (Zucchini, Blumenkohl, kaum gewürzt) und ein Risoni-Gericht mit Spargel und Pilzen. Zum Hauptgang ein Atún rojo, kurz gegart aber leider ebenfalls wenig gewürzt. Im Restaurant sitzen wandernde Gäste (die Mehrzahl), auch in kurzen Hosen. Morgens kann man bei Sonnenschein auf der Terrasse frühstücken – toll! Es gibt ein (sehr) kleines Buffet und abermals viele Erklärungen. Auf Bestellung gibt es Ei (vielleicht ein Missverständnis, 1 Spiegelei?) - und auch Käse. Letzteres erscheint mir zu umständlich, sorry. Ich möchte einfach morgens keine großen Bestellungen aufgeben müssen. Für unseren Hund wurden für 1 Nacht 40€ berechnet. Vermutlich ist dies auch der Preis für 3 Nächte. Es gibt 5-Sterne-Hotels mit ähnlichen Preisvorstellungen. Hier sehe ich das nicht. Wie gesagt, das Hotel ist gut oder auch sehr gut, wenn man als Wanderer die herrliche Gegend erkunden möchte. Sonst ist man fehl am Platz.

Super cool vibe for the hotel , ultra friendly and professional stuff , comfort wise everything is good just get ready to move a little bit , food is spectacular
Breakfast not super overwhelming but to the point , dinner is a must tho !!
Only minus is the coffee machine because I like very good coffe it was bit bad imo but I give this hotel a 10 for sure !!
They even didn’t charge me on the wine we order in the last night , they think about every small detail of your stay !

We had the most amazing time only made very special by the owner Patricia who is passionate about her home and her business. We were treated as one of the family and she always asked what she could do to improve. The situation of the hotel is very special with fantastic views over the Sierra Nevada and we spent 3 days, relaxing, walking and generally having a wonderful time. The breakfast in the terrace were special as all the produce was sought locally, With specialty jams, honeys, meats and cheeses. Lovely homemade cakes. Everything you could wish for was here. We are at the hotel every night and the food was Michelin star. We had four courses and every dish was a delight. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much. Our room was beautiful and we had a large terrace to sit on. Everything about this place was a piece of heaven and we will be back to take advantage of this beautiful place.

Zeer mooi gelegen klein hotel met zeer vriendelijk personeel en persoonlijke aandacht van de eigenaresse voor iedereen. Ruime kamer met uitzicht op de bergen rond Granada. Uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet en mogelijkheid voor een uitstekend diner. Ongeveer half uur rijden van Granada, de weg naar het hotel is smal en steil en je hoopt geen tegenliggers tegen te komen..... Desondanks is dit een absolute aanrader.

This is the first place I've ever stayed in that feels like true 'home away from home.' We felt so incredibly looked after. Patricia (the owner) and her team have created a calm, tranquil place that was an absolute joy to experience. The highlight has to be the mountain views, the walks in the Sierra Nevada and the home cooked food (the first chef of the week was miles better than the 2nd in our opinion). The thought and level of detail that goes into making this place makes it stand out. It is truly special and unique. The bedrooms and the balcony were also wonderful. The sustainable efforts are another reason to choose this family-run hotel, it's the best way to vote with your wallet when travelling in Spain. Although there are still areas for improvement in terms of sustainability (offering fish and meat everyday is the biggest one) they are clearly one of the leading sustainable hotels in Spain.

Super schönes Hotel mit sehr netten Eigentümern und Mitarbeitenden. Leider waren wir nur 2 Nächte in diesem Hotel. Zu erwähnen ist das sehr feine Frühstück. Für uns war es das Beste Frühstück auf unserer Andalusien Tour. Das Hotel liegt ideal auf dem Land, sehr nah bei Granada. Patrica hat uns wertvolle Tipps gegeben. Gerne wieder!

We had an incredible stay here!! Staff, accommodations, cleanliness, food were all amazing. Particularly the staff was so kind and welcoming. We stayed in a renovated room and it was perfect for 2 people. And of course the most beautiful views. Would come back here again!
