A beautiful castle built on a hill. I was a little nervous about the steep slope leading up to the trip, but when I arrived I was moved by the beautiful old castle that looked like something out of a fairy tale. It was about a 30 minute drive from Malaga Airport and about an hour and a half drive from Granada.
The taste and service of dinner from the rooftop with a great view is excellent. The recommended Ronda red wine was also delicious.

A curious little hotel. Location is either amazing on top of Monda with great views ..or tricky to get to depending on your perspective. Nice and fair value restaurant and bar with terrace but patchy and rather slow service (waited ages to get served in the bar). Traditional style but decent sized rooms with firm beds. Monda town is a short 10 minute walk downhill but a steep hike back. Some petty policies like a deposit for pool towels were unnecessarily irritating.

Absolutely delightful staff team. Huge bed, great views and calm quiet location. Food was good, pool is great and pretty garden and terrace areas to relax in. We went for some r&r and were not disappointed. Would recommend if you want a quiet, relaxing break.

If you want to stay apart from all the generall touristic places but still close enough, than this is the place to go. Even if it is only reachable by car it was a very lovely experience. Great view in the morning from the castle and excellant service/staff.

mijn recente bezoek aan albacar kan ik niet anders dan teleurgesteld zijn. Het gebrek aan aandacht voor seizoensproducten heeft een duidelijk effect gehad op de kwaliteit van de gerechten. Het menu leek statisch en inspiratieloos, en de smaken misten de frisheid en levendigheid die je zou verwachten van een culinair etablissement. Het feit dat het restaurant niet beter is geworden sinds mijn vorige bezoek spreekt boekdelen over de gebrekkige inspanningen van het management om de ervaring van de klant te verbeteren. De service was matig, en hoewel het decor misschien aantrekkelijk is, kan het niet verhullen dat de essentie van een geweldige eetervaring ontbreekt. Al met al kan ik albacar niet aanbevelen aan anderen die op zoek zijn naar een memorabele culinaire ervaring. Hopelijk kan het management deze feedback gebruiken om hun aanpak te heroverwegen en te streven naar verbetering

It is a beautiful place with a great staff that provides excellent service whenever you need it. We had a nice room with a lot of a**osphere. Whether sitting on our terrace, enjoying a drink at the pool or a nice meal in the roof garden or the restaurant, we felt at home and have already recommended the hotel to friends and family. Thanks for an extraordinary holiday. We will definitely return!

The hotel has a beautiful view, is fairly centrally located for excursions, neat/clean, good food in both the bar and the restaurant, very friendly staff, ...
If I have to make one point of criticism, it is that for me personally there should be a heating element in the bathroom. This was a bit chilly in the morning for chilly people like us.
