Facility was clean. Staff was most helpful.
Room carpet had a loose trim piece (potential trip hazard). And could have used a pen and pad of paper for the desk.

I prefer a firm mattress, which is sometimes hard to find at a hotel. We had a two-queen room and the first night I was not very comfortable because the bad was too soft/plush. I assumed both mattresses were the same, but my wife suggested I try the other bed the 2nd night. I'm glad I did because it was much firmer and I was able to get a better night's sleep. Overall, I'm glad both beds had different firmness levels to accommodate a range of sleeping preferences.

Very impressed with the cleanliness & front desk courtesy….great location near 75…great place to stay if you are heading further north into Augres….there aren’t very many nice hotels that far north….Will keep this on by preferred list!!

Spent a long weekend there for the US national age group speedskating championships in nearby Midland. I often stay at HIE but was particularly impressed with this one. Everything was very clean and consistent with that I noticed as soon as I left my (clean) breakfast table the staff went directly there to sanitize it. Breakfast layout was great. The wake up call system wasn't working but the staff were truly concerned and fixed it quickly. Tammy was one of the desk staff that was particularly helpful.
