Great lakeside hotel. Very quiet even though it’s right beside the main road. All lake activity equipment are available for free. Too bad the weather was too cold to do anything when we stayed.
Great hotel for families with kids.

Vraiment une très belle hôtel avec des gens accueillant, par contre il est arrivé un contre temps et la piscine ne fonctionnait pas. On y allait en gros pour cela ! Et les suites sont mal insonorisés mais spacieuse et jolie. J’y retournerais sans aucun doute car il y a beaucoup potentiel.

If you’re thinking of having your wedding here… don’t. I was set on Le Grand Lodge as my wedding venue, but after more than a month of trying to get a simple quote and venue visit scheduled, I have been repeatedly ghosted. This is despite the events coordinator, Danièle, responding to my initial email and promising to send a proposal by a certain date once we were able to reach her by phone (she missed the deadline and didn’t bother responding to my follow up inquiry). I requested to be put in touch with another staff member, but heard nothing from both Danièle and the general hotel email. Overall, this has put such a damper on wedding planning and I am so disappointed in the poor communication at what I thought was my dream wedding venue. Future brides/grooms: spare yourself the headache and don’t put this venue on your list.

C’est toujours une belle expérience, le Grand Lodge. L’immense feu de foyer au hall principal rend l’endroit chaleureux et réconfortant. Dommage qu’ils n’y servent plus les biscuits en pm ;)
On sent toutefois que les installations sont vieillissantes, surtout dans les airs communs. Notre suite était toutefois très bien et très propre. Nouveau lave vaisselle, bain et douche refaits dans les dernières années et ameublement en très bon état : rien à redire à ce niveau. Mais les ascenseurs ne sont pas toujours en fonction et c’est “gossant” à certains moments.
La marche dans les sentiers boisés est toujours wow. Gros pour le sentier de glace aménagé qui permet de patiner. Le service de navette rend l’accès au village facile.
On prendrait des spas extérieurs…
Pour une petite famille allant jusqu’à 3 enfants, leur set-up est vraiment très bien. D’ailleurs il faut aimer les enfants : ils sont partout et bruyants. Mais c’est un établissement familial, alors c’est ok !
Globalement très bien. Un peu étranger toutefois de payer des frais de 20$ par jour pour “l’expérience” et de constater que les biscuits ne sont plus servis et les ascenseurs partiellement en fonction. Mais ça reste une belle place qui offre une belle expérience.

We loved the lodge feeling of the hotel
We got upgraded to a suite that includes king bed and a queen bed with a kitchen, it was very spacious and comfortable for a family of 5 with 3 kids under 6.
Didn’t like the elevator breaks throughout the day esp when we had to checkout at noon, it was pain to carry bunch of small bags 2 staircases along with the kids.
Also, cleaning the room was on the 3rd day only and that didn’t include washing dishes!

Bring your skates! Great skating area. Breakfast Buffet is good, but not worth the $$$$. Good Lodge type accomm. with free parking!
