Montargil Hotels with Swimming Pools

The hotel is located well next to the lake, and the pools are decent. However this is certainly not a 5 star hotel. The rooms are a good size and have good views. Not sure why anyone would pay extra for a lake view room though as all rooms have a view of the lake, just some over the pools. There is a rather disconcerting photo of a bunch of old farmers with pitchforks overlooking the bed which isn’t great. There is an espresso machine, but no milk or sugar anywhere to be seen. The service is the thing that really lets this hotel down. Staff are nice enough although not particularly warm. But the service takes forever. We ordered a beer and cocktail from the pool bar and they said they would bring it to our table. It took 45 minutes to arrive, with no one else in the queue. Each day our food orders would take a huge amount of time to arrive, and once our food arrived after 45 minutes, and our drinks came after an hour. It makes no sense as it wasn’t super busy and there were plenty of serving staff. It is really disappointing as there aren’t many close options around, but even so we felt compelled to drive 25 mins each evening to the nearest town to escape the poor service of the hotel. With a management change and better training, this hotel could be a place I could return to, but I can say here and now that I won’t ever be coming back

Of all the accommodations we selected for this trip to Portugal, the ”Montargil Monte Novo” will remain the top of the top. Ruben (smiley and served) and chef Miguel Varda (petching with original and delicate cuisine with all taste, thank you for the little fungal mousse at our arrival) for your smile, your reception, The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and it is very comfortable and comfortable. We had the opportunity to visit the surrounding park and it is superbly maintained (which pleasure to see so many mandarines). We are not louable for this hotel that makes a special honour to the restaurant and hotel. And it will be with great pleasure to see you again one day during a next trip to your beautiful country.
