O pequeno almoço é um pouco ridiculo e já não se usa pedir dinheiro por um café expresso. O checkin foi muito simpático e o checkout ainda melhor

Outside of the tourist season we chose Monte Real as a base to get to know the center of Portugal. The Hotel is located in a well-known area of ​​baths and hot springs, of which I cannot report. The closest beach is Vieira, just 15 minutes away by car. It is the classic Portuguese Atlantic beach, swept by the wind and with occasional mists. Golden sand, clear waters and sufficient services: lifeguards, restaurants, hammocks... The Hotel is not flashy on the outside, but it is impeccable on the inside; the 3 stars are sufficiently earned. Buffet breakfasts, not at all strident, with what is necessary for a good breakfast, both sweet and salty, and with excellent coffee. The rooms are medium in size, clean, well maintained, with a large and complete bathroom. The Hotel has light performances at night, although the bar service is very fair; it would be by the end of the season, but they were short of everything. It was the only negative note. Attentive, efficient and very friendly staff, willing to make up for any lack or request of the guests. We only tried a buffet dinner and it has sufficient quality, both in variety, as well as in price and quality. It has a heated pool, but we did not try it. In summer the fuscurit (curtains for sunlight) may not darken the room sufficiently. A good choice for thermal enjoyment or summer.

Very good welcome. Staff friendliness. Wide and diverse common space. Ease of parking. Large, modern room in good condition. Breakfast with a lot of variety and quantity of products. Sinned by the late cleaning of the room.

We really enjoyed our stay in general. The staff in general are very friendly and helpful. Some waiting time at the buffet services but nothing significant and that was more due to the customers than to the service. Breakfast has the essentials and at dinner the dishes were varied and with good suggestions. The pool is very nice, especially the water temperature. Monte Real itself is small so you can visit it on foot and there is transport to Vieira beach nearby.
