Great location! I had a conference at the Monterey Conference which is less than a 3 min walk! Only thing was that there was no AC, I’m so used to assuming that hotels always have AC, but it was my bad for not checking ahead of time. I asked for a roll out bed, and they were able to provide that, depending on availability at no extra cost. Had a good stay! Quite historical hotel.

We stayed in a historic king room, it was clean and very charming. Our only complaint is that the walls are thin and the street noise was quite loud waking us up during the night; everything else was more than satisfactory.

The room is too small and the furniture is too old. More importantly, the hotel manager is really unprofessional. He took the opportunity to raise the price and suggested that Chinese people choose other hotels when they go to Monterey.

Location is everything for this spot. No AC so be warned. Sheets/pillows/towels subpar but staff nice. 48 hour cancellation should be 24.

Lovely old hotel, room was comfortable, clean, quiet and the bed provided a great nights sleep.Across the street from the Golden Theatre & great restaurants.

I had room on "historic" side. There are stairs to get to that section. Layout is odd. A section is residential and one of the residents was confrontational when I took the wrong turn trying to find my room in this odd layout. Bed was too soft. Good location for going to concert at Golden State Theater (it's across the street).
