It's just a normal motel, nothing too demanding, but okay for a short stay in Monterey. Parking is convenient, but there's no one at check-in. The heating is quite good.

It is in a hotel complex, but the hotel does not have a restaurant and there are no businesses nearby, so you need to bring your own dry food. There is a large supermarket more than one kilometer away from the hotel. You can walk there during the day, but be careful at night.

The roon was dirty but not compared to the hot tub. TV in room didn't work. Check in is miserable. DO NOT STAY HERE. And that is after multiple stays here and the degradation of the experience.

Rooms were super nice, indoor pool and Jacuzzi was amazing! Office staff was great, also contactless set up was nice as well with door code. Very clean rooms, overall five star experience!

For a motel, I thought it was an excellent choice.. I liked my room and the services and amenities provided were great!! I did not use the pool, but I might do that on future visits.
For someone that does not drive, thr Stargazer Hotel conveniently located to Downtown Monterey, the Del Monte Shopping center, and it's a great spot to stay at if you want to take public transportation to Carmel. I'll definitely return, maybe later this year or next year!!

The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable enough, and the pool was great, but the white fluorescent lighting outside is extremely bright and stays on all night long. The windows only have shutters on them which don't block the light (plus, the shutters on our windows were broken) and no curtains. If you need darkness to sleep, don't stay here. There was also construction going on during our visit (seems to have been ongoing the past few months) and the water was turned off for 2-3 hours when we arrived. This prevented us from using the showers or faucets in our rooms.
