Run down hotel. Location is not very safe. We arrived by car and there was no one outside to greet us and tell us where to park to do our check in. There was a. Security person who showed up later but he was talking with someone else. Meanwhile some unsolicited characters showed up.
The concierge was on his break.
After I asked the people parked on the reserved space to please move, I was able to check in. This must have been a nice hotel but if feels old and stale. The towels in our room where very used and thin.
The bathroom downstairs is old and unkept.

This hotel located in a very convenient location for tourists, right on the Plaza Independencia in the city center, walking distance to all the sightseeing sites, facilities are quite good, breakfast was above average, however if you want to go out for dinner after hour, there're very few dining options around, most restaurants closed before 8pm, even though Montevideo is generally safe, that area behind the hotel was dark and gave eerie feeling.

Radisson Montevideo Victoria Plaza Hotel is located at Plaza Independencia. It is within walking distance to Ciudad Vieja, museo Andes, Metropolitan Cathedral, and Solís Theatre. The hotel is situated about 45 minutes drive to Carrasco International Airport.
We stayed at Radisson Montevideo Victoria Plaza for 3 nights, and I must say that the services provided exceeded our expectations. From the customer service representatives at the reception, housekeeping, all the staff at breakfast and Arcadia restaurants did their best to make our stay very comfortable and felt welcomed.
The breakfast restaurant is located on the 25th floor overlooking the harbour and breakfast menu exceeded our expectations. There are a variety of croissants and pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon, fruits, yoghurt, and coffee.
The heated swimming pool and spas on the 6th floor are clean and it opens from 5.30am to 9.30pm. There is a ****** inside the hotel and plenty of punters smoking outside the ******.
We were upgraded to a king suite room on the 11th floor. Unfortunately, the furniture in the room was obsolete, and the linen provided looked like 20 years old. The carpet in the room looked old and dirty.

The worst Radisson, bar none. The room was extremely old and had a strong odor. The front desk said they would change it only if there was a vacant room, but they said there was no vacant room, saying it was an agent's room.
