Modern Chic Home W/ Lots Of Natural Light Near DC

Unfortunately, our experience with this property was disappointing, and we chose not to stay after arriving because it did not match our expectations based on the listing.The main issue was listing accuracy. The home appeared to be a private single-family rental, but the disclosure that the basement was occupied was buried in the description. We did not realize we would be sharing the property.Upon entering, we found an interior door connecting the main living area to the occupied basement. Although a separate entrance was mentioned, the interior access raised immediate privacy and security concerns. We later learned three men were staying in the basement, which was not the private experience we expected.We also heard noise from the basement shortly after arriving. Combined with the interior door, this made us uncomfortable, so we chose to leave and find alternative accommodations.The exterior condition was also disappointing. The landscaping appeared neglected, with overgrown weeds, and there was a discarded car battery in the driveway, which did not match the listing photos.Communication with the host was lacking, and we struggled to get clear information about the layout and occupancy.Travelers comfortable with a shared property may have a different experience, but those seeking a private home should ask detailed questions before booking.

This house is spacious, comfortable, and clean, with everything we needed for our stay. We were happy that we picked it. Had a little trouble getting in initially and contacting the host for help, but that was resolved and we had no further issues. Also there was no access to outdoor space even though the listing mentions that as an amenity.

This was a beautiful home with everything you would need to enjoy the greater DC area. Comfortable beds and furniture and a well supplied full kitchen. The host was excllent about communication and any details we needed. Plenty of food nearby. Dc traffic is legendarily bad, but there is a metro station in Silver Springs that is nice and convenient if needed. Thanks for hosting our family.

Great Place with a Perfect Location My daughter and I needed a place with easy access both to U of Maryland and DC, and this little gem did not disappoint. Set in a quiet neighborhood extremely close to many amenities, the home was spotless and spacious. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Could be Great It is bright and open. Conveniently located and the beds/furniture are comfortable. However, neither the oven nor ice maker worked and it lacked some simple items - there wasn't a hairdryer although the host said it should have been there, Needed were: Wastebaskets in a few places (only one large one in kitchen) and at least 2 more kitchen table chairs. They are going to provide washclothes in the future and a coffee maker (not just espresso machine. Getting the code to enter was a challenge and should be provided at least 48 hours before arrival. The TV only works if you provide your own subscription information - nothing local. Finally, it would be helpful to have a "House Book" which includes the info from the website and also the location of items like extra toilet paper and papertowels as these were certainly not easily found. As stated - it could be great but...
