Being on business trip in Mora I spent one night here. Confortable and clean

First of all, Mora is a quite small town and there is no much hotel options around the city center and finally I picked this one as it is fairly-priced and looked comfortable and homey on the hotel booking websites. And turns out it does look exactly the same as I expected. As I arrived Mora with trains so I did a bit of walking to reach the city center ( around 20-25 mins) and the hotel is located at the end of the main shopping street (Kyrkogatan), so shops and bus stations are within walking distance. The hotel itself is a bit dated, especially the bath screen, the door of the restroom and the carpets, and the heater of my room was not working. So a bit of improvements are needed but aside these, I can see the owner try to keep the hotel as homey as possible. Probably because I was staying there during the low season, the food variety of the breakfast included was quite limited. But I did like the coffee making machine at the little resting area right besides the reception. DO bring your own electric kettle, as it is not included, if you need warm water as often as I do.

Hotel Fridhemsgaten & Mora were a big disappointment after traveling extensively through Scandinavia during the month of July. I discovered that the electronic lock to our room did not work leaving our belongings exposed. We had to change rooms. Coincidentally, a man was sitting in our room when we first checked in? Then the TV would only broadcast a TV channel for about 5 minutes and shut off. They could not fix it. Dining in Mora is pathetic and despite many articles, there are very few local craft stores. In fact, many store fronts were empty. The only reason for staying in Mora is close proximity to Nusnäs and sadly, there is controversy in Nusnäs, where the Nils Olsson Dala Horse company is now using robots to carve the horses. Thankfully, the competition, Grannas Olsson is still carving by hand. The Swedish government needs to intervene in the setbacks in this region of Sweden.

Very friendly & helpful staff, clean & attractive room and an excellent breakfast buffet with a wide array of options and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

We had a very comfortable stay at Hotell Fridhemsgatan, the hotel delivered against expectations with a nice room, good bathroom, quality breakfast, friendly staff and a commercial grade gym. Good wifi, the hotel is closer to Mora Strand train station than Mora C train station.
