We had a great stay at Colter Bay Village and especially enjoyed staying in one of the historic cabins. All staff there were friendly and helpful. We did the lake cruise and really enjoyed being able to get out on the lake and listen to the information related to the park while getting some great pics. There are a variety of trails and the swimming beach is very close to everything. We experienced every aspect of the park except the visitor center. Every amenity was well done and easy to use. Our only negatives would be a little noise from the restaurant area and one burned out light in the bedroom. As much as we enjoyed our stay the price of the cabin is high enough for there to be some question as to the value of the accommodation. Regardless, I highly recommend Colter Bay Village if you are planning a trip to Great Teton National Park.

For a super authentic but also super comfortable loding destination in Grand Teton National Park, we enthusiastically recommend Colter Bay Cabins. We had a warm, roomy, comfy cabin (originally built for a John Wayne movie 80 years ago or so and moved along with many of the other cabins to its current location). We enjoyed dinner at the nearby Chuckwagon Restaurant, where we sat in the bar for a while watching rodeos on the TV. The staff members - all young and enthusiastic - were helpful and informative. Highly recommend this lodging solution!

Wow! What a gem we found when booking a cabin at Colter Bay Village! We loved the vintage cabin and the whole set up at Colter Bay- the store, the National Park center, the marina, the beach, the dining were all within walking distance. Every employee we interacted with was top notch for friendliness and helpfulness. The employees come from all over the US and I think Vail Resorts put the best of them in Colter Bay for the season. Avery (CA) checked us in and didn’t fail to wish us Happy Birthday while the rest of the front desk staff was helpful in answering any questions we had and they gave us a wonderful booklet on the history of the gorgeous cabins. The cabin was authentic and lovingly adapted for modern use. The bedding was comfortable, the room was large, and the common areas were kept well cleaned by Julio… don’t forget to tip the household staff when they do such exceptional work! We had the best service of our stay at the Ranch House- thank you Sean! Ice and water refilling stations were readily available. And the barista at the general store was superb!! (He was an older gentleman and sadly I don’t know his name- but my daughter couldn’t say enough about his excellent Carmel macchiatos - of which she indulged numerous times.) I had a nice chat with a young man in the general store when he asked if I needed assistance. I can’t say enough about how happy we were staying at this property- from the beauty of the Tetons to the service to the friendliness of the staff to the true caring and the genuine affability of everyone working here. We highly recommend Colter Bay Village!

Our dining experience at the John Colter Ranch House was great! We did not stay in Colter Bay Village, but made the drive from Jackson Lake Lodge to have dinner one night. The food was very good and there were plenty of options for all types of eaters. Our waiter, Sean, was so friendly and gave us some insights into the park.

Very very dirty not what I was expecting for$170plus a night we have a shared bath walls are filthy seriously I think the bathroom is cleaner than our room and the shower leaks into the floor with dry rote and mold you would think the park could do better we stayed in same type room at Roosevelt in Yellowstone same price and a beautiful little room!! I would avoid this place!! Paper towel was a swipe of the wall with water!!

This place is a good example of everything that is wrong with the National Parks concessions contracts. The cabins would be 120 dollars or less anywhere else but are hugely overpriced because there is no local competition. The check in staff were nice and asked us to let them know if there were any "critters" in the cabin. The cabin was clean but old and a bit dingy. The heater was barely adequate for mid September; I would not want to be there if it got very cold. I think the staff there try and do the best with what they have. We would not stay there again.

Our cabin with a shower was the best place we stayed in for our 40th anniversary trip to Wyoming. There is general store and coffee shop right in the village. Everything there costs more, but the location makes it all worthwhile.

Beautiful place. There is little water in the lake and I don’t know if others who booked knew that. Lovely walk around the lake. As the water has been used in Idaho for farming, there will be no water activities this year. We arrived a day early as Yellowstone Park had closed and they were able to find us a cabin, albeit a family size one and it was very expensive but we had little option. The cabin was very pleasant and the heating excellent. The staff also very helpful.
