Chicken Kiev is meant to have garlic butter oozing out if it when you cut it open yeah ? Nah not this nasty dry piece of garbage, salad had sand grains in it, the best part was the chips and the beer, real dissatisfied with the meal I received and was meant to eat 👎

The room was large , plenty of room to not have the queen bed up against the wall in the room , but it was . One thin blanket on the bed , but there were extra pillows . The shower had great water pressure . The decor and atmosphere was dreary . Not value for $135. I needed a good sleep , for my long drive ahead the following day , but some party animals were having fun talking bs very loudly outside a room few doors down. It started at 10 pm and carried on till 3 am. At 11 pm I tried to call the emergency number , the reception number, all the numbers , no manager answered. I tried again at midnight, 1 am , 2 am , by 3 am I had had enough . I went out in my pyjamas and had to beg them to give it up . I was about to go and sleep in my car ! What I want to know is WHERE WAS THE ON SITE MANAGER ??? Does he not care about what is happening ? Is this not monitored , guest behaviour? WHY DID HE NOT ANSWER THE CALLS ? This is a very dangerous situation , does he not realise how important it is for guests to be able to contact someone in event of such disturbances ? I was very reluctant to tell drunk young men to be quiet ! Thankfully they did stop the noise . But , the following day , I was so tired to drive , I had to spend an extra night on the road to get to where I was going to because I did not want to die by falling asleep at the wheel. Perhaps you need to put a sign up at reception saying this ONCE YOU HAVE PAID for your room , YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN FOLKS , no follow up CARE HERE . DO NOT BOTHER CONTACTING ANY OF THE NUMBERS WE SAY YOU CAN CONTACT IN THE COMPENDIUM , we really DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AT ALL AFTER CHECK IN .

Wait times for food, which may I say is very basic menu is extremely disappointing. When ordering at 6:30 to still be a minimum of 1 hour wait time is poor service. Then at 7:20pm at times stop taking orders because they can’t keep up. Since new owners have not invested sufficient time and money into staffing.

We've lived in Moranbah long enough to know you have at least 4 'decent places you can go for a good meal. (PUMA eatery, Workers club, Chinese & Mexican & The Black Nugget). So the most recent bad review confuses me. We've never had a bad meal yet & never seen a fight, though pretty sure, people fight and get kicked out at all pics at some point.. It's a Mining town so yes everything costs more. Though we find the prices fine. TIP:- Tuesday nights are super super busy due to change over of shifts in the mining world, so book ahead. We've done lunch and dinner there and are actually gong there again tonight. Staff have always been friendly with us. We always sit inside in the air con. My review is therefore only on the food, service and inside area. I would recommend it

Only place to go out in.Watch your back. Like to fight. And bouncers don't do their job. Very dangerous for out of town worker's. Watched fight after fight same cowboy going from group to group.. Bouncers kicked them out and not this one cowboy 🤠
