Sweeney Hall Hotel

A great stay after a fabulous wedding held at the hotel and I would recommend Sweeney Hall to anyone

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Room spotless, good quality bedding. Restaurant food was excellent quality and service.

What a beautiful wedding day we had at this incredible venue! From visiting on one of their wedding showcase days - where we instantly knew The Barn and Garden Room where 'the one' - and meeting up with Sean to discuss finer details, to setting up the day before and the big day itself, we couldn't fault The Sweeney at any point. Sean was an incredible help throughout, always being quick to answer our (many) emails, allowing us several visits throughout our year of planning, and just being amazing when it came to set-up and ensuring the day ran as smoothly as possible. The team went above and beyond to ensure everything was even better than we envisioned - the spaces looked gorgeous, the food was insanely good (and all our guests agreed) and we felt like everything was completely under control throughout. We're normally quite stressy people and we felt completely relaxed all day because of how well organised The Sweeney team were. Our day was even more magical than we could ever imagine, and we're so so thankful for everything The Sweeney did to make it so special. A special thank you goes out to Sean, of course, but also to Alex for all of his help throughout (you really put us at ease), and the rest of The Sweeney team for just being so amazing. We'll remember this day for the rest of our lives!

My wife, Kim, and I had afternoon tea to celebrate our 36th Wedding Anniversary. The Sweeney, a Georgian Country House, is set in parkland and has been refurbished and tastefully decorated. We were served and waited on by one of the owners' sons and Maddie. Both were polite and charming, but it was Maddie who addressed our every need and her service was exemplary. The 8 sandwiches each were generously filled and the cakes, scones, cream and jam were delicious. We had a lovely time and I would highly recommend this venue.

Sunday lunch was absolutely amazing. Roast beef plus trimmings, was lovely & perfectly cooked, plus 5 vegetables, roast & new potatoes & very nice gravy. Gorgeous starters too. Excellent portion sizes. Staff are fab too. Lots of other choices if you don't fancy a roast!

Loads of parking and a lovely welcome when I arrived at the hotel. Nice atmos in the bar and at breakfast and very friendly staff. I would stay again
