Very historic inn. Nice room and breakfast. Right at the pub. Just be aware that the rooms in the coach house are in the beer garden so you do get some noise but the windows isolate it well and it usually doesn’t go too late. Had very little effect on our great stay.

The owner and staff were lovely and really ensured you were looked after. Quite loud and a busy little pub. We had the stone baked pizzas, one being gluten free. The gluten free bases were pretty average and nothing to shout home about. Other than that it was reasonable and dog friendly.

Rooms were very clean, well equipped and extremely comfortable. Beds and the showers were greatly enjoyed. We were very well fed at breakfast with a good choice of fresh tasty foods and the service from friendly staff was timely. Family run B&B where we were made very welcome. Everyone was very accommodating throughout our stay. We had a lovely experience and are happy to recommend The Bell Inn to everyone. A warm welcome awaits you.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights in early November. We were there to visit the Cotswolds, and this location made a good homebase. We found this hotel to be quaint, comfortable, clean, and affordable. Our room was huge and clean, and the Restaurant/pub was inviting, warm, and served good food at a reasonable price. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again where we ever to return to this area.

Wonderful stay in The Hayloft at The Bell Inn. We were welcomed warmly by the team and were impressed with the amenities and modern en suite bathroom. Lovely to have kettle and coffee maker in room. The owner runs an excellent pub and a top notch lodging option. We were especially impressed with the cook to order breakfast each morning. If you aren’t staying in Moreton in Marsh, at least stop in for a pint - it’s a great place!

We attended this fabulous place to try one of the recommended Sunday lunches and cask ales, and wanted to know what the whole hoohar was about. It did not disappoint! The lady we were greeted by (lady had long red hair) was so accommodating and so kind and friendly, she had an answer for everything that we asked about the pub itself and the area (we asked lots of questions). The food was out of this world, great portions and the cask ale was so smooth and tasty. My friend had the sea bass and that was exquisite. We will definitely be back to The Bell Inn, also recommending it, and you should be proud to have such knowledgeable, welcoming members of staff. Highly recommended.

Really lovely pub with a great history. Tolkien visited here a lot and they have a plaque outside and some nice pictures inside. The team were so welcoming and friendly. Not the biggest menu but great for a lunch stop with a story! Thanks everyone!

The Bell is in Moreton-in-Marsh's High Street, a convenient location for a wander around the small town. It is basically a pub with rooms which overlook the courtyard, ours accessed by an outside staircase. Our room was spacious, with an en suite. The shower was excellent, with plenty of hot water, the towels big and fluffy. There were soap and shampoo dispensers. The bed was fairly comfortable. Our room was clearly over the kitchen, as at 8.00am a loud roar set up, presumably from the extractor fan, and continued until about 10-11pm, so lie-ins and early nights would be tricky. There was tea and coffee plus biscuits- a nice addition, however I'd have appreciated a small fridge for the medication I must take first thing every morning, rather than having to trek down to the kitchen to request it from their fridge. The proprietors were obliging and affable. Breakfast was served in the bar. We'd have liked to have been able to serve ourselves coffee and it would have been nice to have fresh fruit alongside the cereal, yoghurt and dried fruit. The hot food was modest in quantity but well cooked and the toast was on the stingy side- a request for extra did not get results. We had one evening meal [fish and chips] which was very good, from a basic pub menu. The bar tended to be a bit draughty in the evenings. As well as the courtyard there is a large garden to the rear, although it seems little used. All in all there is much to like about The Bell Inn but with a few basic additions [fridges, fruit at breakfast] it would be really great.

The courtyard was dirty, with broken chairs and glass on the floor. Bar staff polite. Food serving staff surly and reluctant to give menu. She said she wasn't sure what food was available or if they were serving. No food service at 7:15pm
