The room and hotel were very nice

We stayed for two nights. Clean and quiet room. Amanda, at the front desk was pleasant each day. The breakfast was included with our room was excellent. They served eggs, sausage, toast, and biscuits. Oatmeal, cold cereals and their waffle machine was the BEST! Their coffee machine was perfect. Thank you for the pleasant experience.

I always love stopping in when I’m driving from VA-NY, we’ve now made this town our halfway point because we can always count on a good quiet and safe stay!

Upon arriving, the hotel doesn’t have a sign on the building, so you don’t really know if it was the SurePlus Best Western. Also from the main road you could not see any directional sign. It wasn’t until two days later that we noticed there was a very small directional sign from the main highway that sat 3 feet off the ground and was mixed in with other business signs, so it was very hard to see. The hotel sits up the hill away from the main road, so it was quiet off the main road. While checking into our room, we were met with an offensive odor. At the front desk, we met Amanda the manager who willingly helped us move to another room. However, upon further investigation in our room, we encountered a number of issues. One of which (electricity issue) we did report to the front desk and once again, Amanda, assisted with a smile. Here are the list of the issues in the hotel room and other common areas: The bathroom sink and toilet are very low to the ground, they are not standard height. If you have bad knees, it was extremely difficult to sit down on the toilet. The sink would not drain and we inserted a plastic straw in the drain to help it empty. The bathroom also had flies, they lived in the toilet. It took us two days to catch them. The tub faucet isn’t quite attached to the tub-surround but was useable. The beds are on a metal frame and boxspring, any movement caused major metal squeaking which can be heard from the rooms above or beside. And the walls are thin so you could hear people talking in their beds. The reception on the television was snowy static. But by maneuvering the equipment, and by accident, you can possibly get a decent picture. I noticed this was also a common complaint in some other reviews on TripAdvisor. One morning at the breakfast buffet, when asked if the breakfast items would be refilled, the attendant said No and walked away, so we ate scraps what were left. Best to go early. There are a few feral cats that wander the outside property in the parking lot around the front door of the hotel and that like to hide under parked cars. They didn’t bother us when there. The good news is: Amanda the manager is great at solving problems with a smile and she’s very accommodating. Her staff is also willing to assist and had all been very friendly, except the one food attendant on one of the mornings. The room has luxury vinyl plank floors and was clean. The breakfast servings are hot items such as eggs, omelets, waffles, sausage and gravy. There is a stand alone restaurant on the property that’s not affiliated with the hotel however we did not eat there as we didn’t realize it was a restaurant as attached to the restaurant is an outdoor swimming pool so we thought it was just all part of the hotel. And when asking the front desk on recommendations for dinner they never mentioned this restaurant which was steps away from the front of the hotel. We took that as a sign that the food may not have been good. But since we did

The front desk young lady was very professional. Room is very nice and clean and has everything we need for a one night stay.

The room was very clean and the clerk was very nice. It wasa great place to spend the night on our trip.

Super clean, friendly staff, and lots of peace and quiet! We will definitely be back. Nice breakfast choices as well.

Staff was courteous. One of the twin beds, the base was broken. There were cockroaches in the room.
