The hotel service staff are very friendly. The Japanese-style room we booked is very unique. There will be service staff to make the bed. There is a shuttle bus to JR Kaneda Station every hour. The service was extremely sloppy. When I checked in, a large suitcase was left in the lobby and was not delivered to the room. I had to call to resend it. I was given one less meal coupon for breakfast. I complained downstairs and was compensated with the hotel's limited drink. All in all, out of the seven trips to Japan, this was the worst service, bar none.
Located on the edge of Moriyama City, the surrounding area is very cold. I think it would be better to live in Nagahama or Hikone further north. The hot spring facilities are indoor only, which is simply better than nothing.
During non-popular times, there is no buffet for dinner. The five-course Western meal is very exquisite. The breakfast is completely Westernized and has no Oriental characteristics.
