Origin Red Rocks, a Wyndham Hotel

Loved the property but the stench of the “scent” in the lobby and ground-floor areas made us want to leave as quickly as possible without breathing. The Mountain West is beautiful and clean. Get rid of the artificial scents!!!

I stayed here with my husband for 3 nights. We loved everything about the hotel, except for the bed & thermostat. I read other reviews about the mattress being uncomfortable but brushed it off as I’m not as picky. This mattress was seriously the worst I’ve ever slept on. You can tell it’s old. It was caved in on both sides and was hard as a rock. Paired with extra firm pillows made for a rough nights sleep. The rest of the hotel, we loved! Very quiet, modern, nice bathroom. We had plenty of hot water for showers. We set the temp to 66 but it never made it that low. It’s like it was programmed to not get lower than 70. Overall, we loved the hotel but won’t be staying there again due to the bed being so uncomfortable. When we go to hotels, a bed is very important and critical in a good nights sleep.

Our family chose this hotel for its location and amenities. It was close to Red Rocks, Evergreen, and our kids’ camp destination, allowing us to avoid traffic on the way to our favorite spots. The hotel, restaurant, and gathering places were exceptional.

We stayed here to go to a Red Rocks show and it was ideal! Kat at the front desk was so warm, welcoming and helpful! The rooms are beautiful and the beds are soooo comfy! Our room had amazing views and the hotel has a really fun atmosphere. We really enjoyed it!

This was a great, fun, location for a team meeting. We did a lot of business then easily got uber/lyft to downtown Golden and toured the rocks in the morning with the team. Wonderful staff and a fun outdoor atmosphere!

I think the title says it all. They think if your a concert goer that have you captured. Shame on them. The rooms are marginal, you would think you are staying at a Red Roof. No housekeeping. This a not a $650/night facility. Just a rip off. ADVOID!

I believe the room was way overpriced for what it was. The room had paper thin walls, you could hear a normal conversation level in the next room. No continental breakfast for the price.

I generally will not write a bad review - would prefer to discuss negative issues directly with hotel management, however, in this case hotel management did not respond to multiple outreaches. Most awful experience was when we went to get our wallets out of the room safe the morning of our flight and found the safe to be “dead.” Poor guy at front desk struggled to help and after 1 1/2 hours, got safe open, but flight was missed. Most frustrating was that in addition to staff not having access to maintenance in early am when we were to leave for our flight, the manager "doesn't work weekends,"and has yet to contact me as requested. Other issues: bathroom had very bad sewage smell coming from shower and toilet, room was never cleaned during 3 night stay. Asked front desk on day 2 and was told that housekeeping is by request only, as informed in check in. I said that I had’t been told - and she became antagonistic. Requested housekeeping that day but needless to say, I did not get housekeeping services during my 3 night stay. This is a truly poorly run hotel - made an otherwise lovely occasion (attending family wedding) very stressful and unpleasant.

We selected this venue due to location to Red Rock Amphitheater and because it states it offered “shuttle service” to the venue. What it does not tell you is that shuttle service is for events only and runs only once with a cost of $50/person. The bed was so old and soft and lumpy it was almost impossible to sleep on and the so called pillows were so big they could not be used. The room was grungy and the restaurant (while food was not bad) tables and floors were dirty and sticky.
