Hotels Near Morro Bay State Park in Morro Bay

Very good, the room is big enough, clean, the front desk is warm, the breakfast can be full, and there are scrambled eggs. Moreover, the town has a beautiful scenery, close to the sea, and there are also home-and-restaurant restaurants. The taste can be done. If you have enough time, you can stay one more day.

Booked this hotel temporarily, but it was an unexpected surprise on this journey. The hotel was a bit of an idea, but from the beginning of the reception, I felt that the owner was working very hard. 1. Parking is convenient and free. 2. Walk five minutes to the beach and one minute to the supermarket and fast food restaurant behind the hotel. 3. Each floor has a special reading area to provide local bird pictures to introduce local culture. There are also vending machines for drinks. I booked a room with a balcony. I could sit down and smoke and admire the sunset by the sea. 4. The front desk offers afternoon tea from 5 to 6 pm. Breakfast is on the third floor, the food is average, but on the terrace, you can overlook the waves and sails of the sea while breakfast, as well as the big rock. 5. I only booked one night, but found a coupon when I opened the door in the morning. It reads: Don't go so fast, give me a one-night fifty-six dollar discount and stay for another night, and enjoy the beauty and food here. If it hadn't been for my later itinerary, I would really like to stay another night and enjoy the tranquility of the town.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few nights on our way back from SF to LA. What a perfect Inn!! You can’t beat the location— the heart of Morro Bay where you can walk everywhere and even see The Rock from the balcony. Had lovely mornings drinking coffee (provided by the Inn in the room) sitting outside. The room is so beautiful. The bed is so comfortable. The staff is so helpful. Just great! Had the bonus of being able to make a reservation at the attached restaurant, The Galley. There were better amenities in the room than we had at the Fairmont in SF! A fridge and microwave! Beautiful bathroom with a great shower. Could hear the seals from the harbor. They kindly offered champagne or sparkling apple juice for our arrival for my boyfriend’s bday. The ONLY thing I wish was they had a smart TV. They do have cable but there’s not much to watch in the evenings. Definitely want to come back here. It was a magical stay.

Conveniently located with walking distance to the Morroy Bay waterfront with stunning view of Morro Rock. Clean, spacious and modern room with great bathroom amenities. Lots of breakfast / dining options nearby and great for a stay for families. Would love to visit again!

This hotel was able to accommodate our request for a roll-away bed, which was what we needed. The queen beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is perfect: sink is outside of the shower/toilet room. There doesn't seem to be any air conditioning (only a heater), so the room gets stuffy unless you leave the window open (which lets in outside sound, too). This did not bother us at all. We all slept comfortably. We were in a downstairs ”balcony room”, which doesn't get a great view of the Rock, just partial view. If you want a view, request a balcony room in the upper floor (but you will have to carry all your luggage up stairs). There was minor thumping from the upstairs room, only occasionally, and it never bothered us. The sound insulation is pretty good. The breakfast is not that great, but they do have a waffle maker, which can be fun for kids. The only yogurt they have is ”Trix” yogurt. I presume this is for kids...neon colored, sugary... However, there is some fresh fruit, cereals, milk, juice, assorted rolls, and chocolate muffins (for the kids, I guess). This is sufficient fuel to get going in the morning. The mini-fridge is very mini. The microwave and fridge are in the closet. Strange, but they work. There is a pretty cool hot tub room to relax in, but this is not really that important to me to have on trips. All-in-all, this is a good, clean, hotel, that had everything we needed for our short stay in Morro Bay.

We booked our hotel room here based off of reviews on Kayak.com...we were looking for a reasonably priced room close to Morro Rock. Our experience here was great! The room was very clean and auiet, and while some might consider it on the small side, it was perfect for 2 of us and a medium-sized dog with all of our stuff (including a surfboard and large cooler). It’s a very pet friendly hotel, there were many doggies staying there while we were and the hotel staff gave us a little doggie goodie bag! Our interactions with hotel staff were infrequent but always friendly. We had a room on the 2nd floor in the rear of the hotel, which afforded us a fantastic view of Morro Rock (when the fog wasn’t covering it). I was disappointed to learn that the pool wasn’t heated and therefore not open for swimming while we were there...but at least I was able to walk 5 minutes to the beach at Morro Rock to surf! It was about a 20 minute stroll from the shops & restaurants in downtown Morro Bay to the hotel...not bad at all. I would definitely recommend the Motel 6 to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay while in Morro Bay!

A very new hotel, the room is large and the bed is very comfortable. We stayed in a barrier-free room, the cloak hook, the position of the toiletries was very low, considering the height of the disabled wheelchair, the shower room was very strange, and the cold water was sprayed on me. The hotel has a swimming pool, but the water temperature is not very high.   jesse at the front desk is very friendly and helps us solve the problem of foreigners charging the car locally. The three old breakfasts are traditional dishes of Huanpeng, and they are eaten again every day. 

This was our first time staying in Cayucos. We didn’t realize this hotel is a “pet friendly” location until after our reservation was made. Not being pet owners, we were a bit concerned at first, but the many positive reviews we read about the hotel convinced us to give it a try. We were pleased to find how clean, comfortable and spacious our upstairs room was. It was very quiet at all times. The grounds are very well maintained, and the staff were all very courteous and helpful. Conveniently located within walking distance to the beach, nearby restaurants and the pier. We will definitely plan to stay here again on our next rip to Cayucos.
