The hotel is the first hotel in this town and has won awards. The absorbent liquid and hand cream used are very good. The front desk is also very welcoming. The bar and western food downstairs of the hotel are also good. Coles supermarket is also very close, and it is also close to the Blue Lagoon attraction. It’s not far and it’s worth recommending.

The hotel's location is very good, right in the center of Mount Gambier town. There are many restaurants, supermarkets, and famous local art centers around. There is also a free parking area in the hotel. The hotel's reception is connected to its restaurant area, with a row of wine behind it, which is also very interesting. The room is very spacious and the interior decoration is very new. The brand of hand sanitizer is Aesop, which I like very much!

***Tricked! No windows, ** on the first floor, noisy until late at night. The carpets are worn out, smell bad, and the air conditioner doesn't work. Worst stay experience ever! The key is 400 Australian dollars! ! !

The hotel is overall good. The lady at the front desk was very nice and the facilities in the room were good. Interestingly, the first floor of this hotel is also a bar and game room. It takes a while to find the front desk. Finding a room also takes some time.

This hotel is a surprise, it really has a sense of age, and the hardware and software are new and clean. Located in the center of the town, parking is also convenient.

I really can’t agree with the fact that the room has no windows.

Very clean and nice

Rooms have been tastefully updated with nice decor, comfortable bed with a beautiful ensuite. This is a great place to stay if you are travelling through Mount Gambier. Central to everything with very good customer service. Free parking onsite.

This gem of a hotel is piece of history. According to staff and the photos on the wall, it dates back to 1863,shortly after the town was started (1849). The rooms are recently renovated with the latest fixtures (touch mirrors, tab ceiling lights and electronic door handles), the beds are comfortable, the food is very good, and the atmosphere is great. Rooms have about 15 foot high ceilings. Also, there is a game room on the ground floor and even I was able to win at the slots. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Great stay. Positives - location was central. Room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious. Big TV. Friendly staff. Food was good and convenient. Negatives - lots of stairs. Not great if you have lots of luggage. Floor can be a little noisy.

The Mount Gambier Hotel is very central, opposite the Cave Gardens and a perfect location for shopping and dining. The hotel has friendly, professional staff. Downstairs there is a lovely bar and restaurant, which incorporates reception. I would describe it as a classy pub with 5 star rooms. I had a king room- it was not only huge, but beautifully appointed. It was well equipped, had a very comfortable sitting area and a stunning bathroom. Breakfast was good and the staff happily served it upstairs on the mezzanine when requested. I highly recommend the Mount Gambier Hotel for those who enjoy beautiful rooms and friendly service.

We spent a few days over Easter here and it exceeded our expectations. A lovingly renovated grand old hotel, in an ideal central location, with very spacious, tastefully appointed and comfortable rooms with thoughtful touches. We had a room overlooking busy Commercial Road and with the excellent double glazing it was very quiet and peaceful. The Cave Garden and Robert Helpmann theatre are right across the road and Commercial Road is full of eateries. Would definitely stay again!

Old, historic building with very stylishly renovated interiors and rooms. We were upgraded to a huge deluxe room with a modern designer bathroom. The restaurant has very good pizza. Free parking behind the hotel, many shops and supermarkets close by. Friendly, professional staff. Altes, historisches Gebäude mit sehr stilvoll renovierten Innenräumen und Zimmern. Wir erhielten ein Upgrade auf ein riesiges Deluxe-Zimmer mit einem modernen Designer-Bad. Im Restaurant gibt es sehr gute Pizza. Kostenlose Parkplätze hinter dem Hotel, viele Geschäfte und Supermärkte in der Nähe. Freundliches, professionelles Personal.
