My husband and I l have come here for the last two years, it is just magical. Superb rooms and amenities, beautiful staff, the best massage we have ever had and delicious dining. This is our place to just switch off, be in nature and it's bliss!!

After reading the reviews I expected a lot more and at first I was very impressed but as our experience went on, there were a handful of things that disappointed and de-elevated the experience. Glad we stayed but won’t stay again. Accommodation - We paid $550AUD for a Sunday night, that included a glass of ‘bubbly’ on arrival and breakfast the next morning. The Room: beautiful, smelt absolutely lovely, bath on the deck was a standout to relax and watch the nature. However there was only one window we could open, in the shower, besides the two sliding doors. No fly screens at all so we couldn’t get fresh air circulating in the room unless we opened it up to the bugs, and there were mozzies. No ceiling fan. We couldn’t regulate our temperatures at night and alternated between roasting hot to freezing cold. We don’t like sleeping with the A/C on so just couldn’t get comfortable. The Food: Dinner: options were set at $75pp 2 courses or $85pp 3 courses. After looking at their menu online it looked like I could justify that price so went ahead and booked it. Only problem is that at the time of our stay their website and actual menus were very different, they hadn’t updated their website and what was listed online was the only basis of us eating there. I had rubbery overcooked scallops (4) for starter and a standard main. Between my dishes I ended up with an overwhelming garlic taste in my mouth. A chocolate torte with a white chocolate crème fresh for dessert, the flavour combination didn’t work, we couldn’t eat it. We had taken this one to our room and we flushed it. For $75 for two courses ($150 for two people) it was not worth the price. Highly disappointed. Breakfast: Again, on the day, the published website menu didn’t match the actual menu. I was looking forward to eggs Benedict on home made crumpets, the slight change to the menu here was that it was served on English muffins. Save the English muffins for McDonalds please. Instead I substituted for sourdough, that should be standard. The hollandaise sauce on my eggs was absolutely cold. There was no cracked pepper on the table, nor offered. Just making a few minor tweaks here would bring it up to Perth standard. Coffee was great. The Service: It was fine, that’s all, not next level, the staff suitably simply polite. Wry low touch which was appreciated. The pool and the grounds were beautiful. When we consider the price we paid for 1 night bed, breakfast and dinner ($700), compared to previous experiences at high end properties in Perth and the South West, we would have had a superior experience if we stayed at Crown Towers with Crystal Club access. Each to their own, but Amaroo was not for us.

Absolutely beautiful place for a staycation ! Peaceful with beautiful surroundings, the service is excellent, and the food was absolutely amazing. Spa facial was amazing too and so relaxing. Staff in the restaurant particularly Lily and Mel are attentive and offered good old customer service. Well done and terrific stay, definitely will be back.

Wow. booked myself and my partner in for a two night stay so i could propose. Perfect setting. the room was amazing with the extras I bought, spa filled on arrival. Food was amazing for our first night stay. Dined out at the Parkerville tavern the second night just to mix it up a bit. Our accommodation was top notch. The serenity of the bush at night made for a truly beautiful stay. The staff were so accommodating and nothing was too much hassle. If anyone complains about this place then they are the type that are never happy. 5 STARS in my book. thank you Kevin and Melissa.

A dinner booking made on the day online as phone wasn’t answered Arrived on time and waited a little while for tables to be pushed together for us four. Service was very slow, staff under pressure I guess. Finally got some bread which was lovely if hard to pull the slices apart. Starters were nice, duck and scallops though not over generous. Mains arrived in two batches five minutes apart so my nice steak was cooling off by the time I ate it. Salmon was a poor dish, not very interesting at all (mentioned to waiting staff at the time). Table was cleared, we sat for 15 minutes, nobody came with a dessert menu or offered coffees so we left (mentioned this issue as I paid) Pity as was to be a special night out and the setting is lovely but we had poor value.

Overall a good stay at this resort. As a luxury adult retreat & the premium price, it is the little things that can make of break an experience, such as the quality of the mattress in order to get a good sleep, the quality shower/personal products and the maintenance/up keep of the property. I think these are important & in this retreat I feel they need improvement. The service was excellent & the food we had in the restaurant was good. The menu selection was good but some items weren’t available on the nights we dined there which is annoying. The massage we had was very nice & staff very pleasant. The location was beautiful.

Went to Amaroo midweek took 2 days off work to enjoy some overdue peace and tranquility after a tough year and having 3 surgeries I needed some serious rest. Told at 4pm during check in there was tree looping the next day . The lopping and mulching went all day we couldn’t enjoy any peace and quiet even had to leave the premises to get away from the noise. Whilst the grounds and staff were lovely this certainly does not have a 5 star vibe. They have an oyster specific menu another reason we wanted to visit only to find out both nights no oysters at all. Don’t think about ordering dessert either as they told the people behind us they only had 1 dessert on the menu . Really wanted to check out the grounds to as an opportunity for a wedding but have no desire to come back after explaining on check out how disappointed we were in paying almost $1000 for 2 nights I asked for some compensation . I recorded the sound as no person should have had to experience this as well as loppers walking up to your residence when in robes and supposed to be private. It’s been 5 days I have waited patiently after being told someone would get back to me and still not even a call or an apology. If your looking for a nice getaway that understands luxury and tranquility head to Hidden Valley instead. This was nothing short of disappointment.

I was given a voucher for a one night stay in the chalets for my birthday. Took the hubby with me on a Sunday night and had Monday off. Breakfast for two was included and a glass of bubbly on arrival. Our room was spacious, modern and comfortable. All amenities were there. Our private deck had a beautiful view of the secluded bush, and was complete with outdoor setting and outdoor spa. Double shower included inside with lots of glass panels on two sides of the chalet for the spectacular view.

A quiet Saturday for lunch. A lovely spot. Nailed the entre's. Oysters and Mozzarella salad superb. Mains, garlic prawns superb. Fish special for main a disaster. Should have sent back. Suspect freezer burnt and not fresh. Over cooked and cold. I'm thinking the main was an unusual mistake so we will be back. I did say same to reception on paying the bill.
